after a little time the atty will get broke in. You will be able to take several drags on a couple drops. other things to consider. What is the resistance of the atty what are youe using the atty on? If its VV or VW what do you have it set at?Safe Vaping Power | Voltage | Resistance | Ohm Chart Here is a chart its really only a reference but it will give you a starting point

You might consider using a gutted cartomizer while you're getting experience with dripping, because it's a lot cheaper if you need to replace it due to a burnt taste from running it dry. A box of 5 costs about the same as one cheap atty. I just slip the filler out of a Kanger bottom coil carto and it works much like a 510 atty.

I flood-prime new attys: stand them on end, fill them to the top with PG, let it drain out, then blow out and add juice. Attys with wicks have to be thoroughly wetted before you begin using them and this method has always given good results when starting a new atty.

I have read your post's.. Hoping that I could "break it in" I have continued the hitting three times and drip about 5 drops repeat method now for two days. I get lots of vape, and taste is good until that fourth hit Blah!!! Burnt again! Anywho.. Aside from that issue I have another. To the point I can't use this box/ atty set up without a paper towel wrapped around. It is leaking through every seam of the box including the button. What's your thought's on that. I will live with dripping if I can keep my hands dry. The atty is as tight as I can get it.

First I will say I am proud of this thread lol. Dripping is the way to go! But anyway you're getting juice all over the place because you are over dripping. Some atomizers are different. My joyetech atomizers over 3 drips and you're in big big trouble. My bridgeless from Empiremods can handle 4 drops with ease and no mess. I highly recommend a drip shield if you're worried about juice getting all over you. The drip shield is designed to keep the juice close to the atomizer and suck some of it actually back into the atomizer for re use. It also prevents juice from leaking all over your hands and PV. I also will suggest you get into the habit of listening for that hiss sound the atomizer will make when it's really low on juice. I personally drip 2 drops at a time just not to worry about flooding the atomizer. Vape on my friend. Dripping is my method and forever will be my method.

Burnt taste usually comes from running the atomizer too dry.
But at the same time you seem to be dripping too much because of all the leaking.

This is a contradiction, and my only explanation is that your atomizer really sucks.
It seems it doesn't hold very many drops, or maybe it is just a leaky atomizer.

Actually, that could explain it, your atomizer leaks.

My standard Joyetech 510 atomizers hold 5-6 drops after blowing all the juice out...
And then they get 3-4 more drops every time they need a refill thereafter...

I don't think you can get a burnt taste with bridgeless because there is nothing to burn. I debridged one myself and there was wicking material in it.
The silica wicks don't burn.

I drip like it's 2007. ;)

If you're leaking then either your atomizer is faulty or it's flooding. And when it floods, it leaks and you get dry hits.

Try a more gradual approach. Dry out the atomizer and then put in 2 drops. Vape it until it's dry. Then put in 3 drops and repeat. Keep this up until you learn the tolerance of your atty.

You quickly learn when to add more liquid to avoid those dry hits. :)

I am quickly learning that my atty just sucks. I think DC nailed it. It seems I get those burnt hits too quickly then I add drops too often and flood it. The way I have been keeping my hands dry is 2 or 3 drops then 3 hits, maybe a short 4rth (which will give me a slight burnt taste, but I'm trying to empty it as much as possable) then 2 or 3 drops again, repeat. I get a little seapage, but not as bad as I started.

I put on 3 drops right on the atty, I take off drip tip so I can drop them in the center, then put drip tip on and can get about 5-7 hits. Mine are not rebuildable, just plain ole attys I got from High Desert. I did prime mine with PG first and blow out and it works very well. bnrk

Thanks for the feeedback. I will be purchiasing a different atty and seee how that goes. I really do like the monster hits I get from drpping. Just got to get something different is all.

I bought yesterday a bridged aty. I put 5 drops and can only hit it twice. On the third hit, especially the fourth, BAM!.. Huge burnt taste so bad it ruins my palate. Is that normal? 2 or 3 hits and need to drip again? Or do I need a different dripping aty?

I just got my first dripper too,its a bridgeless type and so far its great, never had one with the bridge,i hear some remove the bridge.

Yeah you can there is a wick in bridgeless as well.

The poster who told you its gotta break in was a good reply. It takes about 20 mins for the wicks to go clear and hold more liquid if silica..

Quick method is to flood it and vape it juicy style, it will speed it up a bit..
