You need to load about 20 drops into the cartos and let it soak in. On the Boge 2.0 cartos sometimes it takes hours. You can spin it or tap it and hurry it along. I NEVER hit mine until 18 - 20 drops. I have had only 1 with a burnt taste since I started using them around June.........

Big Hitter has a thread about using cartos on a Reo. It is where I got information about using them when I started.

JI thought these were the shiz-nit. Are we doing something wrong, or am I gonna need to sell the 30 we have?

Don't worry, if you can't get them to work or don't like them there are plenty of people here who will take them off your hands. I buy them every month now.

Where should I buy 510 2.0/2.2/2.5 atomizers? How will a 2.5 ohm atomizer work on a 3.7v battery?

I usually buy atomizers form Ikenvape, they have good price and quality, I live in Italy and I prefer to buy atomizer in the USA for these reasons. 2,5 ohm atomizer @ 3,7v? simply doesn't works, IMHO :)

I really wish I could help here. I have been vaping 2.0 ohm boge cartos for months now and have never run into this issue and have vaped some very carmely (is that a word) juices on my neverending quest to find the cheapest yet best juice. :) I always syringe fill mine which completely saturates the carto when I start off. I know thats not a popular option here, but I find it the fastest cleanist and easiest way to fill and vape right away. When you fill from the bottom up everything is soaked. I always get a ML or so in them in 5 seconds or so doing it this way. Sorry I can't be of assistance.

You have said you had so much juice in the boge cartos that you were getting some thru the tip. I have noticed with my limited experience with ecigs and especcially the boge cartos, if you have liquid "burbling" as you draw you have too much in there.

Your options are to either blow the excess out gently from the mouth price end into a paper towel followed by a sharp non powered drag to pull the excess liquid out of the carto (you WILL get some liquid in your mouth if your not careful) or you can do what I sometimes do and do a non posted drag then a powered drag and continue this till there is no more burbling sound.

Or you can take a paper towel, roll it p and blot the extra out of the mouth piece end. The filler should appear wet (I've heard it compared to slushies) but no liquid sitting on top of the filler or in the draw tube.

I will usually vape without squonk filling until the top of the filler is dry then squonk fill till wet again.

Yep, I'm all over that program, but thanks!

Based on the replies, the one thing I did not try was the 18-25 drops & letting it sit for awhile. I also liked the syringe idea. Therefore, I soaked a carto with the syringe method last night and will be trying it today. If I get better results, I'll let you know.

On a side note, I did see Big Hitter's thread, but sometimes my ADHD kicks in and I can only suffer through about 3-5 pages unless I'm getting good info. I know you need to search the threads sometimes, but ADHD can be an issue.

If they have motors on them I'll be right over.

Ok gang... yet another win from the ECF community!!!

Soaked the Boge carto with the syringe and about a mL of juice. Let stand for almost 24 hours. SUCCESS!!!

Thanks to all for the help. Now I can keep the 27 cartos left and make them work.

Now it's time for me to consider getting a REO...

YAY!! Another success! :)

Once you get the first fill, you can top it off without going through that. Just a light squonk every 10-15 hits.

Good observation. I've noticed a lot of difference from flavor to flavor. There are flavors that I prefer at a lower voltage device/higher resistance carto (and vice-versa). Some juices taste downright NASTY when they run too hot. I haven't formed any reliable general rules. It's all trial and error with me. The one thing I have learned is not to give up on a juice until I've tried it a few different ways.

Well, once again, I got more atomizers and still am very unsatisfied. I was using a Cisco 306 2.0ohm atomizer, which gave great vapor, heat and all that, with no leaking, however, weaker flavors got burnt out.

I then ordered two 510 atomizers at 2.0ohms and 2.5ohms. The 2.0ohm seems to get hot and spit juice up in bits, and still gives a semi-burnt taste(not as bad as 306). The 2.5 seems better, but still not satisfied and I like the 306 style being able to see the juice etc etc.

HELP!

Just a suggestion, but many folks tailor the resistance of the atty (ohms or Ω) to the juice, or the juice to the atty.

LOL that made NO sense.

What I mean is, lower Ω attys are better for tobacco flavors (heavier flavors), higher Ω ones better for light flavors like fruits and sweets.

So you have a few choices: 1) use different attys for different juices, 2) use several similar juices on the same attys, or 3) different juices with the same atty, but different voltages.

Nothing is written in stone about what works, just have to experiment to see what works for you.

Personally, I wound up settling in on option 2.

One thing that I can think of that might help you. With the attys on a REO your draw should be very light. Not like a hard sucking hit on a cig. It should be slow and easy. If you draw too hard it will pull the juice up rather quick off the bottom of the atty, you can get a burnt taste because the juice is displaced off the coil. Might even get it in your mouth.
The 510 with the right amount of juice will give you the taste and heat. I would say a 1.8 or a 2.0 should be good. Even my sweet and dark juices do well with those attys.
There are many variables with attys. Draw, squonking the juice, and the juice itself. It takes some practice but they are great when you get it down!

One thing I learned when learning atty's was to break them in on "used" batteries (not fresh off the charger). It helped this newb. I was all excited to try a new Atty so grab a fresh batt and go to town. I fried them like bad chicken

I started using some batts that had been vaped on a bit (3.9 3.8). This gave me some breathing room to practice Squonking. Fresh batts can torch a new Atty pretty quickly. It makes it easier to break them in a bit IMO.

Vaping style X juice is a tricky equation. I just put some cinnamon red hots in my regular setup & yuck---similar problems with chocolate but with mint/menthol flavors zero problems. I think the sweet flavors in a boge can get nasty fast. I am an atty killer by experience and so have fallen in with cartos as more forgiving but if the juice is sweet...problems arise.

my own solution: keep a large supply of lightweight non-sweet juice in stock ( i have a DIY stash) throw away wrecked cartomizers and start again... I'm not too satisfied with this solution...(getting bored with safe flavors) but i always have one solid solution to problems.

i'm going to keep an eye on this though because i a getting a bit bored and analogs are starting to smell good again...a definite bad sign.
