Hey guys,
I just picked up some 801 SR fusion cartos @ 2.5 ohm to use on my Infinity. I'm a little confused though. I've already gone through the 5 I got to some varying degree of success. Every single one of them I used was awesome for at least a few hours. Then I ran into a couple of issues. I notice after about half a day they would cut out quite regularly - I found out through some other posts that after a while the resistance drops which conflicts with my Infinity's brain which can't handle below 2.5. I'm okay with that - I'm getting a new device that won't have these issues. The other issue - of greater concern - after about a day of vaping fairly heavily on the cartos I find the draw completely changes. They start out very airy - which I like. But after a day they become so tight they're almost not vapable. This is not a product of the adapter either, they do this once I take them off the device. I figured maybe they're getting clogged with juice or something, so I tried giving one an alchohol bath for 24 hours and rinsing - no change. Any thoughts from the experts out there? I really really want to make these work, cause when they did it was the best vape I've ever had. Some people suggested the IKV 510s to me as well and for whatever reason I found the throat hit too harsh and I was hardly able to produce any vapor with them at any voltage.

Okay first off, why are you using LR's on a VV mod? You would be better using regular resistance and turning the voltage up. As the ohms drop, drop the voltage. I've encountered a tight draw with certain juices but it was just that and not the carto. I won't name the vendor but I love their juices and just "deal" with the clogging. I love the Fusions in both resistances but the majority of mine are SR's because I like HV vaping...you should be using the SR's also. I quit cleaning mine...they never work as good a fresh one does. It seems that cleaning them loosens the gunk but then it clogs the airholes.

Fair enough, but I've used ALOT of different cartomizers and I never wash them, but less than a day of vaping seems a little off, considering I've never gotten less than a week out of any other carto I've ever used. I just thought I was doing something wrong cause a ton of experienced vapors have told me how long lasting these are. Maybe Sophie's right, could just be that the Fusions are vapable for a fraction of the time all other cartomizers are? I just want an idea before I order 50 of 'em.

I have been using SR (2.5Ω) Fusions for many, many months on a VV - and occasionally I come into a few that don't work at all or don't last as long as they usually do - I can count those on one hand, though.

I imagine as with all things vaping, there can be some QC issues at some level...and, FTR, I rarely have to compensate for their age/usage by increasing or decreasing the voltage on the ones that work as they should.

For the most part, a "good" Fusion (and most of them are - far better QC than other cartos I have used) lasts me around 4-5 days in a tank, heavy vaping - consistent "new/fresh" carto flavor and draw.

Green :)

While Isaac was down, I ordered an 801 "Fusion" from another vendor (it was labeled as such, anyways)- it appeared nearly identical; but the vape was entirely different and definitely not on par with what I have become accustomed to with IKV.

I will stick with IKV's Fusions from here out. ;)

I've been using 2.5 ohm fusions on both a Buzz Pro and an original Infinity for several months, no issues. On the Infinity you cannot take them above 5V. I run them in a tank, 3 - 4 days, up to 24 ml of eliquid, between swaps. I get about the same run time, ml through them, as I do with other vendor cartos.

The Infinity should do fine with lower ohms, if the resistance does drop a bit, by dialling the voltage down.

Thanks guys. Well I guess it's a good thing I ordered a new buzz pro a couple days ago. I haven't quite figured the tank thing out yet, but I'm sure that will be the big new year thing for me.

Basically it's a carto in a tank that feeds liquid to it. Beats having to put liquid in all the time.

Fusion is the only carto i use for my tanks. other than that i don't use cartos.
I was wondering how long too as on a couple i had trouble with them clogging after a couple days, but i have lately been careful not to feed them from the top any more than once a tank fill; just a little.
The more you top feed these the more chance of clogging it seems, but that may be the case for any carto.
One hole in my tank is perfect, and if it starts getting a little dry i just top off with a couple drops, and make sure the carto has enough time to resoak from the hole.

These are the best darn setups; they beat just about anything for vapor and flavor. Pretty close to dripping and of course, in a tank, no constant re-dripping.
I hate to say better than my Genisis attys i've been fiddling with, because that could just be me, but wow. Try these in a tank and don't worry about those rebuildables or tank attys.

I fill my carto on the first fill, then I fill the tank. I don't top fill as the hole only lets juice in when I puff. Sometimes when and if it gets dry I just do a couple power puffs without pushing the button on the PV. I have had a couple clog and when that happens I just run a paper clip through the hole from one end to the other and clear it. I think the filler gets sucked into the hole from puffing on some of them.

Fusions are the only cartos I use, period. My husband uses them by themselves on a GLV2SM, and I use them on 5card's tank system. I have never had one with a short life; some with shorter life, but much longer than two days. I use to get at least 10 days to 2 weeks before tanks. Now I change them out about every 8 days. They are a mighty cartomizer! I ordered 50 on Monday to beat any Chinese New Year's problems!!

Amen... nothing beats a Fusion in my book.
I not only compare them to any carto but also to that elusive "best vape" possible... you know, where you have that blend of criteria like Flavor, vapor production, ease of use. In a tank it's pretty much up there after trying a few different things, like bottom feeders, rebuildable atomizer (rba) rba-tank, different attys. I mean the Fusion is just too simple; it's that good.

Since i chain vape, I have 3 or 4 different pv's going with all different things, and the Fusion in a tank is a must. When you get worn out testing and sampling and trying new stuff, there it is right there; too easy.
