I am sorry if this is a duplicate post. I tried it under classifieds and it disappeared and I don't find it now.

I am interested in some of the classified ads but have been hesitant to PM on them because I am not sure how the Paypal payment works with individuals. I have a paypal account and have used it many times on Ebay and Vendor sites. How does this work when dealing with an individual?

Thanks

When a price is agreed upon the seller will send you his email address. In paypal you click send money and put in his/her email address and put in the agreed upon price.

In the comments do not say anything vaping related because paypal will suspend their account. I just leave it blank.

I will add that some people ask for you to send as a gift. This takes away all protection for you if you get scammed. If they ask for the paypal fees or send as gift I would pay the fee. (I actually refuse to buy from anyone who asks for that)

I just wanted to add that I don't believe there is any protection when using PP for e-cig purchases, whether you pay the fees or not. It would simply get both PP accounts banned upon making a claim.

That said, I seriously dislike sellers actually asking for gifting in their sales. PP fees should be considered when deciding upon the asking price for the convenience of using PP as a payment method.

Although it's the only thing you can use on the classifieds it doesn't offer much protection because e-cig sales is strictly forbidden by them. If a seller tells you to choose services for the payment make sure you trust them. I have paid 5000k for a website design before and if I would have had to file a claim to get my money back I would not have been able to. Paypal has no way of verifying the services therefore the party that received the money automatically gets to keep the cash.

There isn't any protection if you tell them what it's for. You atleast have somewhat of a chance if you dont gift. Saying it's batteries or heating elements should suffice

Hadn't considered that... I suppose if the seller wants to refute your claim, they would be chancing the demise of their own account. Good point.

They may also suspend your account.

If a seller here will take PP and the price includes shipping and fees, I'll offer to pay via the 'gift' option. I truly dislike an ad that states, "Buyer pays PP fees and shipping. No mention of e-cigs."! Or, "Gift option only. No mention of e-cigs."

I some times check the sellers number of posts and history. Most times, I just read the demeanor of the post. But that's just me...
