I have a 510 battery that burns maybe once or twice and then starts blinking.. I put a piece of tape on it and marked it "Flakey" I press the button and it blinks but every few pushes it works.. So I just use it and press the button if it blinks I wait a few seconds and try again..
After a while of doing this it seems to be working more and more. maybe I just needed to get it past the low voltage point in the cells and it'll be back to normal.
These bateries are not SUPPOSED to have a memory.. but the way the chemical proces goes in the battery they DO have a memory, it's a little one... what is happening, I theorize, is that there is a bit of internal resistance that causes the voltage to drop and trigger the flashing LED syndrome. the flashing actually discharges the battery somewhat resulting in the internal resistance changing and at some point the battery circuit believe it to be a charged and working abttery and thus it works.. I hypothesize that if I can get past that point to further drain the battery it will work normally.. on the next full charge the memory effects should be close to non existant but it may require a few more FULL cycles to regain it's normal capacity..
Just a thought.. I've vaped this thing at least 20 times since it told me it was dead.. so it's obviously not.
