1. I read that in order to safely fire a 0.2Ω coil one needs 21 amps, but my mod is rated only to 17.5 amps. I use a Herakles tank with the 0.2Ω at 60 watts with no problems so far. Could it be a problem later? I have read not observing battery safety can lead to fire or explosion.

2. I had a Subtank Mini on it first, than tried the Herakles and it wouldn't fire. The clerk at the vape shop had to adjust the spring load in the MVP and than it worked. Could the Subtank have pushed the pin down? Can I ever use other tanks on the mod without having to pull up the spring load each time I use a different tank? I assume the connector at bottom of tanks are not all the same length.

The MVP is a regulated device and won't fire at a rating that would cause it issues. You should be fine using a .2 ohm coil on it, at 60 watts that's still less than 17.5 amps.

The 510 connection should be spring loaded and adjust itself to however far down your tank is screwed in, it may have just got stuck last time but that definitely shouldn't be the usual. Just make sure not to overtighten your tanks, you don't need to torque them down just screw them in till it sticks.

I personally would still try not to stress for its max limit to much. Just due the fact mvp got inbuilt Lipo battery which isn't as safe chemistry as the IMRs removables that we usualy use in mechs / higher wattage mods.

So if things go bad it'll go realy bad. It shouldn't due it's a regulated device(shouldn't fire unsafe ranges), but my trust with lipos are limited.
However mvp is a great device, i just wanted to voice my opinion.

I don't even use below 0.3/0.4 on my mechs with sony vtcs just so i've some headroom for safety. :) It can fire lower but i won't due i'm abit paranoid about it. :)

My other mods (Eleaf 30W and 50W) seem not to require readjusting the spring load when using a different tank. In fact I fired the Herakles on the 50W after using the Subtank on it a long time.

Yeah, I'm definitely not saying you should have to readjust it, it should be automatic, and if it's sticking down there like that and having to be reloaded every time that's not good. I'm just saying if it happens to get stuck at the bottom you may be able to just pop it back up, but if it's a consistent issue you may want to try to get it replaced.
