I ended up getting this unit because a buddy of mine starting using it and i actually really like the idea of cutting out smokes. I have had great success so far and i have only been using the unit for a week. However I have been running into a few issues and I wondered if there was anything i could do to improve my ecigs experience.

The first bit i had the unit i was happy with the amount of vapor i was getting out of it however now it seems to be getting to a point where there is less and less. I have changed the atomizer and it worked for a bit however within a few days i was noticing the same issue starting up. Is there anything that i can do to not have to use a new atomizer every week or is that average.

As well it seems to me as though the unit waists a lot of fluid, when i stop getting vapor out of it if i check the filter in the tip it appears to still be saturated within the tip more then a 1/4 inch down. I never seem to be able to use this fluid no matter how hard I try. Is there something I am doing wrong that can alleviate this issue or is it just a flaw based on the based on the actually ability of the unit ...

thanks ahead of time for any help you can pass my way

I gotta be honest here, out of all the units I have tried....901s are my least favorite. I will also say that I didn't have a standard 901 kit though either, but my janty stick has a 901 adapter.

My problems witht he 901s are just as you state (I also had 801s until manufacturing on the atomizers seemed to go downhill and they would not "wick" or pull the liquid out of the cartridge). I would get an ok vapor for the first day or so on the 901 with MINIMAL use and within the next day or two I ended up throwing the batteries. Half of the 901 atomizers I have seen appear to have a metal washer on the inside, all you can see is the "bridge" (the pointy mesh inside the atomizer that the cartridge material is supposed to sit against). And they all have the air hole on the side. It seems to me that these atomizers flood easily, and since the atomizer is so enclosed and the air hole is on the side, it is very hard to "unflood" them. I also noticed that the first couple vapes with the 901 tasted great, but tasted horrible after that. As for the fact you can only get the liquid out of maybe 1/4" of the filler, that is totally normal. There has been no unmodified cartridges that CAN wick all of the liquid out. It's part of the gimmick in my opinion, you get annoyed and you buy more because you think they must be empty or something. Wait, I take that last part back, the 103s (njoy npro) did initially wick all of the liquid out of the filler but that quickly ended after a couple of refills. So, I agree you are definetely feeding it too much liquid and most likely "flooding" it. You should either buy a lot of unfilled cartridges or go with some sort of cartridge modification...or ditch it all and drip a drop or two of liquid onto the bridge every time vapor production seems to lessen. I fell in love with the e-cigs once I ditched the cartomizers, they are too much hassle and too much mess. I just remove the filler in them (or you can leave it in, it doesn't really matter) but I just do not refill them anymore.

I agree with first response, you can let the atomizer sit upside down (preferrably on a dry napkin or paper towel to help wick the extra liquid out) or even try blowing into the atomizer (with most, you blow through the battery end, but with a 901 I don't know if it will work the same since there is an air hole on the side).

Hang in there, e-cigs can be finicky, but you will eventually find something that works for you. For me, I settled with the kr808s...actually I'm just head over heals for them! :)

Ok, I can help you here as the 901 is the only unit I have used for over a year and I love it! You will have to modify your cartidges with the straw mod, that will enable you to get use of all your e-liquid in them. I don't know how to post links but look it up on the forum, it works great! (Maybe someone more tech savy can post the link for me?) That alone should improve your 901 experience greatly. I have been using this same atomizer that I'm using now for over 2 months atleast and it's still hitting great. If you are hearing a "gurgling" kind of sound on the intake then it could have too much fluid in it. Just unscrew it and remove the mouthpiece and blow it out by putting your mouth on the battery screw on side and blowing into it onto a paper towel. Any excess liquid should flow right out. When you put it back together again it should hit better. If you didn't get alot of liquid coming out of it when you blew through it then maybe the opposite is your problem and it is too dry. Make sure your battery is charged well too. Don't just leave them on the charger until the light turns green, I leave mine on for 12 hours, rotating one for day and one for night. My battery never dies on me during the day either, but then again, I don't hit it non stop while at work either.
So, you should try a well charged battery, a moist but not sopping wet atomizer and a cart loosely packed with filler and the straw mod then topped off with about 10-12 drops of juice. PM me if you are still having problems. Good luck! Dee
