So, I am now in possession of two vaping systems: an itazte VV v3 and a Kamry K100 epipe. Problem is I don't know enough to maintain them.

Adding juice when it's running low is no problem, obviously. But one day I wanted to get rid of some nasty juice I had in one tank and fill it with some better stuff I had. I saw a video of a guy basically taking the tank apart, rinsing everything out, letting it all dry, putting it back together and adding juice. Worked for him. I tried it and it worked for me also. So I guess that's a thing you can do.

The other day I was buying some juice at the local vape shop and I said to the guy "I think I could use some extra.." and here I vaguely pointed at my juice tank. He said "replacement coils?" I said yes. Got them home, expecting it was going to be the whole piece inside the tank, wick and all--but it was just a round metal piece that I didn't even know you ever had to replace. And what about the wicks?

How often am I supposed to be replacing these various consumables and what are they called and so on? DO I have to buy the same exact items that came with these two systems or are there other options?

Super clueless. Help!

What type of tanks are you using on your iTaste vv3 & your Kamry 100 epipe?

Is this the tank for your iTaste?

There is the juice.
Then there's the coils; one coil head might last for anywhere from 5 to 20 millilitres of juice depending on the juice.
Then there's batteries; the batteries will get weaker over time until eventually they just don't last long enough between recharges.

Yep, that's the one. I have two of them in my possession right now and both have been used. The one that's on there now for at least a couple of weeks.

that setup was pretty good 2 years ago.
Nowadays a more popular setup would be like an istick30 with a nautilus mini.
Or a kanger subox kit.
Or an aspire subo kit

Presumably those units also have consumables besides juice as well. I still need to know what they are and how often to replace them.

Yes they have the same consumables.
juice, coils, and batteries.

coil heads will last you something like 5 to 20 millilitres of juice before you find they need changing because the taste will deteriorate gradually.

It says iclear 16b 1.5 5pk replaceable dual coil. It sort of seems like the right part, but as I pointed out there's no wick. I thought that would just come with it. Even if it doesn't, how often should I replace these guys?

the topcoil types have a long wick hanging down so that the liquid below can soak its way up to the coil.

the bottomcoil types don't need a long wick; they just have a really short wick, or just holes in the coil head where the liquid gets in to the wick, so you might not notice the wick.

These last longer for some people/ juice type than for others....if you start to feel that your e-juice is not tasting as good anymore....change your coil/head.

It really is up to you and your juice....Some last days and some last weeks
Also depends on how much you vape it....are you going thru a tank a day or three tanks a day?

The coils I bought don't have any wicks attached. Obviously my itazte VV has a wick. Maybe this is the wrong item??
I think you purchased the wrong item. Take your tank back up to the vape shop so they can see exactly what you need to purchase.

The coil/wicks head can last 1-2 weeks. The coil will get "gunked up" with carmalized juice over time. Your flavors will become muted and you will get less vapor. When that happens you can "dry burn" your coil (like in the video) too extend its life.

Sweet, dark, bakery flavors will "gunk up" a coil faster than light, fruit, tobacco flavors.

If you get a rebuildable you buy your own roll of kanthal wire, and wrap your own coils, and use cotton for wick.

I think your previous advice on kits and delivery decices was spot on, but while a good idea down the line, this member is asking for help to just replace an over the counter COIL into a clearomizer.

I think maybe it is a little too soon to be suggesting rebuildables and coil building with kanthal. :) But I do understand you were just saying that sub box comes with rebuildable should he ever WANT to go that way in future.

Scott, before you spend more money on "consumables" for your little clearomizer, I would take Edyle's advice above and move to least a better clearomizer for your itaste VV3.

The taste must have been getting pretty bad on a little top coil like that after 3 weeks?

Looks like he gave you these....the silica is more "inside" the atty head :
Innokin iClear 16B/16D Dual Coil Replacements - 5 Pack - 1.8ohm
(click on photo underneath the box)

See photo. However, they are dual coils and will not work with a iClear 16/16S
IF you are using the clearomzier that "came with" your itaste VV kit, then most likely you got an iClear 16. can't say for sure but I am almost sure.

At any rate, you can unscrew the coil from the "base" of the iclear and put the new one in and see if it works.

That's why I'm asking if you know what clearomizer you are using.

Since you have to buy consumables anyway, you may be better off upgrading to an Aspire Nautilus Mini and buying coils for that instead moving forward. Better flavor, better vape, and more up to date. All you do is screw the coil out from the "base" part that connects to your battery, put it back together, and put in juice. Buy at least 5-10 coils for your clearomizer when you get it.

In the Clearomiser game the two big boys are:

Kanger and Aspire....if you make sure you buy authentic products you should not have any problems finding parts. There have been so many products that have been knocked -off that some times you get parts that just won't work together.

Take a look at Kanger Evod or Protank or Aspire et-s type tanks and they will mate up with your VV because they are whats called ego threaded....

Over the years and sometimes months..lol...things change quickly and the amount of choices are very confusing for beginners.

If what you have is working for you try to hit up that vape store again and see if they can confirm you have the correct replacement coil heads.

My friend--also a new vaper--bought one of those Aspire Nautilus Minis to go with her beefy, lightsaber-lookin' battery mod. This after she bought a beginners kit last December consisting of two pen-sized batteries and atomizers. Those are just sitting around now.

Actually, my itazte is doing pretty well tonight. I'm vaping "blue razz" made by a local Milwaukee company, brew city, and it still tastes of fruit. This tank (and everything in it) I washed out a few days ago. Same juice in my epipe is starting to taste burned, even though I've only had it for a few days.

In any case I clearly need to take both into the vape shop and get set straight. I'm all about buying a new and better tank. Maybe I'll do that. I plan on vaping every day, all day long for the foreseeable future. I see no reason why I should not have the best experience you can have. Especially since all this stuff seems pretty affordable. For $100 I could upgrade the entire thing, battery, tank, everything.
