I WAS smoking around 10-15 analogs a day. I recieved 24 strength mg juice. Is this too much forme? Some days I feel okay and some days I feel a little ill.
But, It may me this CRUD that I have come down with last thursday. ( or the (FUNK) as we call it here at work, has gone directly in to my chest and is sapping every snippet of enerygy I once posessed. And it happened to coincide with the day I started vaping. I also have had 3 analogs since last thursday. I usually only smoke half at a time.

Any thoughts?

Don't think it's too strong. I was at about the same level and I'm vaping 24 and 36. The secret for me tends to be flavor more than strength. When I was vaping straight tobacco flavors, I needed a stronger nic level to be satisfied, but now that I've changed to stronger flavors (cinnamon, apple, etc.), I'm not paying attention to the nic level anymore. As long as the experience is satisfying, the nic level is not too high or low. IF you want to drop the nic level a little, try adding PG, VG or PGA(small qty). Read up on DIY liquids in the modders forum and try to stretch your supplies a little. I'm almost entirely DIY now (unless I haven't got a fresh batch ready) and can adjust the nic level and taste to suit.

YMMV

What kind of cigarettes did you smoke. How many ml are you vaping a day. The higher the nicotine the higher the chance of side effects such as nausea and headahce. Sound like you just caught the grud from someone else and it not related to ecigs. I smoked 3 packs of marlboro red and I now vape 36 and have no problems.

If you feel nauseous, that's too much nic. Sore throat is usually PG and it'll usually go away. IF it persists, try a VG liquid. I was exactly the same as you are with feeling tired all the time. If I could have gotten away with it, I'd have got up at noon and gone to bed at 7pm.

It passes too.

Whether or not you should adjust your mg level is dependant on several things, HOW often are you vaping? More than you were smoking? If that's the case, drop the mgs. If you're about the same, I'd say leave it at 24mgs.

MOST of us vape FAR more than we ever smoked and why not? It tastes great! So, think about how often you're doing it and how often you'd LIKE to do it. I like 36mg liquids and that's what I have for those I'm not GLUED to and I can put down after a few puffs. But, when dealing with my Atomic Cinnacide, I made sure to order it at 24mg's because I KNEW I'd be surgically attached to my Ego.

So, there are several factors for you to consider and that's all part of the 'learning curve'! Not to worry, before long you'll know what works for YOU. We're all different, but we all try to help!! :)

Some of the 'tired feelings' are to do with giving up smoking itself and not really conencted to vaping. You were getting an awful lot more than just nicotine in your cigs - and you are still having a couple now so that wont help - kind of see-saws your levels on the days you have a smoke as well as vape.
There's a thread in the library you might find helpful reading http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ing-your-symptoms-while-adjusting-vaping.html - not all of the points apply to everyone but some will.
If you give up cigarettes compeletely - and I know not everyone wants to, which is fine, each to his own, you might find things settle quicker, you weren't a heavy smoker to start with but your system still needs to expel all the chemicals cigarettes put into it. You might get MORE tired before you start feeling 'better'.
Of course some people find their bio-chemistry has been altered by the MAOIs in cigarettes to the extent that they were unwittingly using them to self-medicate a tendency to depression (another bio-chemical imbalance) they were unaware they had. If that ends up being you (and its not only heavy smokers who discover this) then you might want to wander down to the 'smokeless tobacco forum' part of ECF where they have lots of info on how to treat that using safer tobacco products (and not just advising you to eat more tomatoes - a source of nicotine!) that have shown to be less carcinogenic than cigarettes (swedish snus - studies go back at least 20 years in sweden).

Good luck to you :)

Marb lights I only fill my cart like once every two days or so or when it kinda tastes burnt. It reminds me of the taste of taking a drag off a analog that went out YUCK!!

Ya, I think it just happened to conincide with starting vaping. So many others have what I have , I work in xray and we are doing lots more chest films the last few days. It has hit hard here.

I think the sore throat was from coming down with this crap. I dont, however wake up with the sore throat I had from smoking. Dr gave me a nebulizer to use and it helps. Today I just came home from work and will sleep. I just dont have any energy and I think its from the crud and the fact of not smoking. All body sytems are adjusting,I felt this way before when I quit for 4 months. It will pass.

I think I smoked more than I am vaping but hard to tell as I dont have to go outside any more!! YAY! I take it to work and vape in the darkroom when I run mamm films ha ha. Or in the break room. One other co-worker vapes so no biggie! I showed it to my Doctor yesterday and she LOVED the idea!! Her nurse wants to know it there is one for FOOD!! ha ha

I know what you mean about the taste!! I love the Rum one, my friend let me try his juice and I have ordered some. I had no idea that the bottles from Tasty Vape or so BIG!! But, its good , I like it so it will last me a long time.

Thanks for all the advice, now off to nap "~>

I Know exactly what you are referring too. I will check out the thread. I have quit before and remember the first few days/weeks your energy level is nil,, and then to add this crappy chest cold, dosent help. so, home today to sleep and drink lots of fluids and a little fire cider to help break up the junk . Also I know that the lungs want to clear anyway as i am not putting the icky bad stuff in there any more. Last analog was yesterday, and I had one.

Thanks for the link to the thread!

Yup, PG causes a bit of a sore throat at the beginning. It'll pass.

If you're only vaping periodically and if you're concerned about going back to analogs, stick with the 18-24mg range and you should be just fine!! :)

When you find the cravings for an analog tapered off, then you could look into a lower dose nic liquid.

As for the doctor's enquiry into whether or not they come in FOOD flavors, they sure do!! I've seen the following listed on different sites, and no, I haven't tried any of them, they scare me...
Kung Pao Chicken
Roast Beef
Roast Chicken
Bacon
French Toast with Maple Bacon
Pepperoni sticks

And, the list goes on, but I'm getting too nauseous....;)

You can't compare smoking habits with nic levels. Way too many variables. Nic is absorbed in the lungs with smoking, so fast rise in serum nic levels, and relatively fast drop off. The cigarette cycle that we all monitored when smoking. Vaped nic is primarily absorbed in the mouth, throat, and nasal passages, not the lungs, so it is a slower rise in serum nic, and a slower dropoff. And this depends on how often you hit, and how you hit.

24 mg is too strong for me for my normal vape. Makes me nauseous. I am best at 10-12 mg normally, but I like a few good 36 mg hits occasionally. So my carts have 10-12 mg juice in them (all my juices are DIY), but I will put a drop or two of 36 mg on the atty bridge sometimes before I put on the cart. So the initial hits are high nic, but it drops off to lower after several hits.

There is no right nic level. Everyone is different. Listen to your body, it will know, and however you smoked plays very little role in predicting it.

I know that my wife and I were a little over a pack a day each of ultralight cigarettes. I did the math before buying and figured that we were taking in 12-15 mg of nic per day each. As such, I ordered 11-12mg liquid. It just wasn't cutting it at all. We were chain vaping the 11-12mg stuff all day and still feeling like supplementing with analogs. However, I then ordered a number of 24mg and a couple of 36mg bottles and we have found our spot (so to speak). We will usually use the 36 for first thing in the AM and after dinner with the 24mg being the all day stuff. The interesting thing is that we are far more satisfied now with vaping and actually don't vape near as much as we smoked.

Folks are absolutely correct when they say you can't do a direct comparison between vaping and smoking. I came into this with the assumption that you could and I was wrong. Sure, they are similar, but different enough to cause issues, or at least different enough that you will have to figure out what works well for you through some trial and error.

I smoked about 2 packs a day of Parliament lights and found 12mg juice to be perfect but I tend to vape a lot at times.

I also felt pretty cr**py the first week that I started vaping. I only started feeling "normal" yesterday, tbh.

Also how how do you measure the nic content in e-juice? Is it (for example 12mg) per ml, per oz, or what?

12 mg juice means 12 mg of nic per mL of juice.

It appears that this figure is different for everyone. If you feel sickly or have a headache, and you are sure it is related to vaping, try a lower dose. I personally was a pack-a-day smoker (Marlboro Light Menthol). I am vaping about as much as I was smoking using 26mg EcoPure Menthol and it feels just right. But that's just me. Experiment.

I totally agree. I was a pack-a-day smoker and have been vaping 36mg liquids. But my habits have totally changed and I vape much less often than I used to smoke.
