Hi there! I think I've seen this answered before, but I don't remember the answer and can't find that thread :(

My delrin button cap is waiting for me in my mailbox. It's a press-fit, right? I shouldn't be gluing it?

Also, one of my batteries is a flat-top, which means I have to press the fire button a little farther than with button-top batteries. Will the cap allow the button to press far enough for that?

Thanks!
Commie

It is press fit, no gluing required.

The button top should allow enough movement of the button to still fire your battery. I am looking at mine and there seems to still be plenty of room. Now on some of these button tops they can move downward more on the button if you push really hard.

My daughter used one of mine and when she gave it back to me it wouldn't fire. The top had moved down to much to allow contact. I just pulled it back up and it was fine. You can always find something very small to put in the top to keep it from sliding down further.

I believe that happens to a lot of us, I now remove the pin/lock from the button on all mine, I tried pushing it in, but apparently I pushed it too far or something. Per Rob, do your best to press in the middle of the button to keep it from moving to the lock position, or push the pin in, or remove the pin from the original button. It's all good!

Thank you!
Got mah button, and it looks and feels great! One problem though -- I keep accidentally turning it just a bit and locking the mod. Anyone run into the same thing before?

I had this issue, the previous button covers that I had made from clay were all teardrop shaped and I got used to having a 'point' to adjust the dial with... so I popped off my delrin cap and took a file to the sides to make 2 flat edges that meet in a little point. Now I can 'feel' when it's locked or not. I'll take a pic of it when I get home for ya.
