??? Quick help please..desperate! lol Can't find a 'how to' fill Cartos anywhere! for eGo...

have no clue how to fill this carto and don't wanna jack it up. Jonesin' here! lol Anyone have a thread they can send me to? I've been hunting like mad for hours...i think maybe its so basic noone has covered it?

Just need barebones directions, i've filled cartridges before on my old Firelight Ultra micro mini, but never used cartos. Just got my joye eGo today...i don't have a CLUE how much liquid to put in or how frequently or if theres any priming of any sort that needs done, and i can't afford to screw up any of my components.

Thanks so much, and sorry for the desperate post! lol I really did hunt like crazy all thru the newbie forums, the eGo type forums, etc.

Oh, also...i'm just beginning to experiment with flavors of juice. Anyone know where to get filled samplers of cartos? I've got referrals for the mini juice bottles, but i'm hoping to work with cartos so my attys don't get all weird w different flavors.

drop about 28-30 drops through the threaded end then once vapor production goes down you can top it off w/ 8-10 drops from the mouthpiece end, but aim for the filler not the center hole or you'll flood it

There are different styles, and a lot of people refer to the standard 510 carto as the "eGo carto", so had to be sure. I've never used those, so I'm not sure if the drip filling methods work with the ones you have. There is a video I've seen a hundred times about how to do it. YouTube - How to Refill eGo Cartomizers

The third method above you might work. Sorry, I haven't used them, I just use the standard 510 cartos on my eGo. Maybe somebody else will come along soon with a sure answer.

Ok, so the referrals to the youtube tuts led me to hunt there...that never occurred to me. lol I found this..which is very clear and detailed, but i had NO idea it was this complex to fill and alas...i've no tiny screwdriver or syringe. Sooo...think i'm stalled till i get those unless anyone else has another method. This is just what my cartos look like, so i'm guessing its the right directions. I can't figure out how to pop out my mouthpiece guard at the top tip without that little screwdriver. At first glance it looks like one solid piece of plastic. I'd try the condom method above, but can't tell which end is getting dipped...

Since you got your cartos from Liberty Flights, I'm assuming that you got your eGo there too. Until you get that figured out, and because you're jonesin', you can drip:

I just got some of these. They are not easy to refill unless you know how to use a syringe. I popped the top of the mouthpiece guard with a large safety pin. (like a diaper pin.... remember those?) I also used the safety pin to pierce the hole at the top. The syringe experience was not too pretty.... So, after a few tries, I started dripping (slowly) into the threaded end of the carto. The condom method doesn't work with these. Usually, it would be the threaded end, but a regular condom won't fit on the threaded end. And trying it through the mouthpiece end would be a big mistake. I'm not too happy with them.

If you have the soft caps cartos with the white mouth piece then you don't need a screwdriver or a syringe, hun. Just use a straighten paper clip or a pair of tweezers to pop the cap off. You should see some cottony looking filler inside it. Hold your carto at an angle, like you're filling up a glass of soda or a beer and start dripping juice down the side of the carto. Be patient because it takes a bit for the juice to start being absorbed into the filler. Slowly twist the carto in your fingers while you drip the juice to distribute it more or less evenly. You should be able to get around 20-30 drops in there. When the filler starts to look just a little glossy on the top, it's full. Put the cap back on, wipe off any juice that might have leaked on the battery end, attach it to your battery and vape your head off!

I was looking into that, but i'm sort of infamous for killing batteries by flooding with my old Firelight micro (was an auto battery) so i've no idea how to do it with these attys specifically. Yowza. Well, suffice it to say, i think if i can come up with easier cartos that are 100% compatable with the eGo without any mods, that's what i'm gonna do. These cartos are complex! Oh...and just as a side note: Don't throw away the condoms (the plastic covers that came on your cartos.) EVER! They come in handy for a lot more than just covering up the ends of your cartomizers!

Nope...noob me got the actual eGo cartos (link above) which look like one solid piece of plastic at the top..all hot pink! lol Looks just like the ones in the youtube vid that I posted link to. Apparently there's a mouthpiece top that needs popped off and another two hole top under that before you get to the filler. I think its official...i need to hunt up some teensy tools! lol Thanks again!

I edited my post with the dripping guide link. Sorry, I just never attempted the eGo cartos because they looked to be too much of a pain. I've got myself plenty of syringes now for DIYing, so I may get a couple just to get some good product knowledge, but I'm happy with the softcap style regular old 510 cartos. They don't hold as much, but they're easy to care for.

As for dripping . . . after you take care of the atty primer . . . 3 drops, 10 puffs. Just drip when you lose flavor and vapor. It really is easy, don't let the giant amount of text scare you.

Oh! You got the eGo Mega cartos! That's definitely a different story. I have some of those! The initial punch through the fill port is a PITA! I used the tip of an Exacto knife to open the port. Luckily I had a syringe handy to fill them. They'll hold about 1.8ml of juice. I never did find out if they can be cleaned sufficiently. I'm not sure that they can without much trouble. I've moved on to the CE2 XL cartos and I still have 3 of the eGo Mega cartos that I haven't touched.

Glad to hear that you're loving the eGo. Even if I move on to something else later, I'll always keep mine.

Ok, i'm sooo buying some of the softcap 510 cartos...that sounds juuust peachy. Now i've just gotta figure out which are the best. I could care less if i have to fill every hour, as long as performance is solid, they're not a fortune, and i'm not frying components left and right. Off to peek at dripping, but thanks for the 'idiot proof' lowdown...3 drops/10 puffs I can remember, and topping off with a little bit is easy enough. Aaah..bless you guys. I was seriously ready to flip out. The lack of local support for these things is a definite downside. BTW...I'm assuming you just go into pharmacy and ask for syringes for these? That surprises me, but i'd rather not wait till my next online order to get em. Crossing fingers they're not impossible to get ahold of!

I have a few of those...you do need a syringe...I never got a condom method to work on those and I doubt with its large cone base you could even do it correctly, once you get a syringe...the only other "tool" I use it a thumb tack to pop off the cover plastic parts...you can get a syringe at most drug stores for less than a dollar or any vet supply stores for the same price...I don't normally puncture the hole with a separate tool I just use the syringe for that but I am use to using syringes and am comfortable enough in the needle strength to do this.

They are ok cartomizers...they do work and they do hold a good amount of liquid...that being said a boge style is easier to fill and keep wet. Good luck and dripping should keep you going till you get your syringe...just use the blank cart that came with your ego as a mouth piece and drip on the atty directly replace the blank cart...two drops should get you 6-8 puffs depending on how long you vape each puff.

You should be able to go to a pharmacy and ask for a syringe. Don't worry about support for these things. There's plenty of support right here, 24/7. And dripping isn't near as hard as it sounds. You'll have it down in no time!

Boge 510 soft cap cartos from litecigusa.net would be my recommendation for you to start with. These are very popular, and many people here use them. I used them for about two months before switching to the KR808D-1 premium cartos from the same supplier (and adapters from goodprophets.com). They're easy to fill and can be refilled many times. I refilled them about 20 times or more when I used them. Just drip into the filler from the mouth end after removing the soft rubber cap.

510 BOGE SOFT CAP Blank Cartomizers

By the way, when you get a syringe, you can punch through the fill port (in the eGo Mega carto) with the needle. Just be careful and hold the carto good with your other hand.
