If it's ur first time building then RDA (dripper) will be more convenient and easier as mentioned by bwh79.

Also wicking (how much cotton) on an rda is simpler than an rta as each rta is a bit different.

However I went straight into building on a tank with an rba section (rta). Now months later I have a plethora of rtas but only 1 rda simply bc I prefer rtas being more convenient for indoor and outdoor use. Sure u can drop outdoors but it's more of a hassle.

I believe the avocado 22 and 24 both have a velocity style deck, those are the easiest decks out there imo.

I prefer to build with smaller gauge wires. I like thicker wires bc I find them easier to work with. I would suggest getting 24 and 26 both to test them out. Wires are pretty cheap.

If a deck can fit 24 with at least a 2.5mm inner diameter I will always use 24.

For an RDA, I'd recommend either the Wotofo Sapor ot the Mutation V4 or V4S. As said, it's a lot easier to learn to build on a dripper; the deck is bigger and you can get to the coils easily. If you don't want to drip constantly, the Avocado is a good choice. I personally find 28ga wire the most useful. It works better than anything heavier in the medium watt range, up to about 40-50 watts, IMHO, and if you want more, you can twist two strands together. Twists perform better than heavy gague slick wire, I think.

Don't really get what you're saying
@BrotherBob is a MTL (mouth-2-lung) inhaler. SubΩ coils take a lot of power to fire them and vaporizes a lot of e-liquid/juice per puff. For his preferred way of vaping, he likes coils above 1.0Ω. When using a dripper he does not have to drip as often.

When I use:
  • +1.0Ω coils at 20 watts I go through approximately 5-7mls/day. Mouth-2-lung inhaling.
  • 0.5Ω coils at 40 watts I go through approximately 15 mls/day. Direct lung inhaling.
  • 0.25Ω coils at 70-80 watts I go through approximately 30 mls/day. Direct lung inhaling.
I am middle of the road. I do all three but try and keep my daily juice consumption at (or below) 15mls/day.

Sorry, thought you knew.
+1.0Ω coils at 20 watts I go through approximately 5-7mls/day. Mouth-2-lung inhaling.
2.0 Ohm coil at 6.0w using 1-3 mils a day. MTL
Chain vaping (double) 3-6 mils a day. Very rarely over 4 mils a day.
I vape zero nic and no real addition, just like to vape if I have the time at approx. 3-4 mils a day.
