Quick question: 10W+

I have a quick question. I realize it's been covered somewhere, but most of those "Vamo vs Provari" threads have 20+ pages, so finding the answer is beyond my search-fu

I have a Vamo. I can deal with the rattle snake sound of its PWM. But mine seems to only be able to push 10+ watt in tall mode. I actually haven't tried it with a single 18650, but a single 18350 doesn't seem to go that high.

So the question -- can any VV PVs push out that much in a short mode? I know Provari is awesome, and I'm not married to power regulation, but it seems that I like the simplicity of multiple button interface.

Related question -- can DNA20 do higher power levels with smaller batteries?

I can do 6.0 volts on a 2.5 ohm dual coil on my ProVari v1. That is about 14.4 watts. IT wont go that high wattage-wise with any lower resistance load, because that is ~2.4 amps, just under the provari's 2.5 amp limit. So what resistance carto/atty are you using?

2.0 dual coil carto. At 10 watt, that's only 4.5 volt, if my calculations are correct.

Works great in a Vamo, IF I stack two 18350ies. With a single 18650, the vapor is noticeably cooler, and there's less of it. I don't have an in-line voltmeter to verify it, but I'm almost positive it's dropping voltage. Even the sound of the carto is different with a single battery.

My main beef is that it won't run it in short mode, i.e. with a single 18350

Unfortunately, I don't have any higher resistance dual coil cartos.

v2/v2.5 provari is 3.5 amps so anyone buying new could adjust accordingly.

Stacking 3.7v 18350 batteries = 7.4v that is why it is vaping hotter. No current drop.
Ran my Vamo that way once. Didn't like the results and went back to 18650's
