First off, big Thank You for the warm welcome for this new Chucklehead In Waiting (ordered Sat, the 9th) over on the "Saturday" Thread...

Question: Are the end caps all made of solid brass, and then painted if any other color is requested? Or is there an option for solid copper caps? I know that the non-metallic colors are painted, just wondering about natural metal colors, especially copper.

Didn't want to bother Jeff for even a second, in case he may be working on mine! Not whining yet, but do feel a whimper coming on...

Thanks and Aloha

Thanks, Thyestean, feel free to browse any time...

For my first Chuck, I actually chose a graphic design rather than a photo. It is a Hawaiian "Tapa" (hand made cloth) design, sort of tribal, depicting three forms of water: Ocean (bottom), River (center), and Rain (top), with my initials. Should completely wrap around the Lil Chuck...

Don't know how well it will show, but I'll try post it below...

You can click on it for larger version, although it looks fuzzy due to ECF size reduction. Not sure how to post an original. Gives you an idea, though...

Aloha

Nice choice Kona.

If you want to post full size images you need to upload them to an outside server and then use the Direct Link from that site to post here. I use ImageShack® - Online Media Hosting myself because it doesn't limit your bandwidth usage the way that Photobucket does.

Thanks for the info and for the PM, Thyestean. Much appreciated. I'll give it a second shot when I want to post another pic...

Aloha!

Thanks, Gr8dane... I can't wait to see how it comes out... I had the same feelings as you, which is why I asked earlier about copper caps, but the brass will be just fine, I think. I did find one place that has copper atties but they always seem to be out. Most of mine are black which will be fine, and also some deep red, and deep green, which will all be nice with the natural brass, mirror black and deep colors of the design...

Now I am beginning to salivate, but still quite a wait to go, I think...:p

BTW, I love the rich colors on your Chuck...

Thanks for the info. I figured that was the case, and so I think, with my chosen design, I'll just stick with the natural brass caps...

So Raven, you still use 901 atties with your Chuck? If so, nice to know, as that is what I'll be using...

Thanks again...

Aloha

I just swapped another forum member for a HV PO I had for a new Chuck - emerald green I think with a 901 atty - glad to hear that someone's happy with the 901 - I'm thinking I'll order a couple of adapters to use an 801 and probably a 510 - I've wanted to try the 510's anyway.

By the way Kona - I'm a photographer in Florida - so I was viewing your website - you've got some great stuff there. 99% of my work is people pics - I'm on the beach and in a very tourist oriented area, and shoot a lot of family portraits on the beach. It pays the bills, but can get quite boring at times. If you get a chance - my website is Owner - Photographer

Happy Vaping ! :)

HEY - I JUST NOTICED - THIS IS MY 100th POST !!!

Thanks Kona - I'll NEVER get rich, but that's ok with me. I'm so over the materialistic stuff at this point in my life. Making a living ( paying the bills ) and being happy with my work is worth all the money in the world to me. I had one of those high pressure good money jobs for years and was miserable - the wife thinks it would have eventually killed me ( that or the analogs - :w00t: ), so I'm as happy as I can be. This is a great place to hang out and the support you get from the folks here is great.

Take care !

Big Mahalo to you, DC2... I really appreciate you giving my site a visit...

Yeah, I love the Jungle Cars too, and I gotta make some time to go hunting for some more. Strange treasures lurking in the jungle... I haven't even hit the other side of the island yet!

Thanks again...

Aloha

BTW, GREAT job on the Primer!
