Well, I've been intrigued by PV's since I first heard about them. I smoked occasionally, never enough to be habit forming, I just smoked because I enjoyed it. Well, I finally got enough today to pick up a PV at my local smoke shop, and I had a few questions.

The one that I picked up says 'Smoking Everywhere' on the box, and on the side it says 'Model KR808'. Now I had done some research before deciding on one, and I had heard a lot of good things about the KR808. My first question is, if I were to order cartomizers from cigeasy or somewhere, would they fit this battery? I'm not too sure if all KR808's are the same or not, and I don't want to put money down on carts that I can't use. It has an orange LED, if that helps at all.

So far it's been working wonderfully. Charged up both batteries and started puffin'. :p I can safely say I'm probably not going to go back to analogs after this. Anyways, before I get too off-track, I also wanted to know if I could pick up a USB charger for this model somewhere. It didn't come with one, and my phone's car charger has a usb port on it. I'd love to be able to charge my batteries while I'm driving around. (Which I find myself doing often.)

Thanks in advance. I really can't express how excited I am about this thing, I'm going to save a lot of money in the long run. :p

Wow, I really wasn't expecting so many helpful replies this fast. :D I'm glad that I can use the cartomizers with this battery. One of my really close friends is a chain smoker, and when I showed him my PV today he was really interested. I plan on picking up a couple packs of carts and giving him my other battery so he can hopefully cut back on the analogs as well.

Something else I was wondering, is it natural for these things to get so hot? I can puff four or five times before it gets really hot and my vapor gets thin.

Thanks a lot for the help, I'm glad I stumbled across this forum.

Hi undead and welcome. About the usb charger, I would recommend you a small usb charger without cable that can be use with any kind of batteries. I will post you a link to the page (I was looking in different sites and this is the lowest price I could find). It cost $8.50, but if you use the coupon code ecf you pay only $6.50 plus shipping. Hope this help.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm hooked. I liked smoking analogs for the flavor (I smoked Djarums mostly), but the one thing that bothered me was the aftertaste. It tasted like ash. With the vape, I don't get that. I really am surprised at how much more I enjoy this than analogs. :p

I need to order a few carts soon. I want to try other flavors. :p Any recommendations on suppliers?

Actually there are two KR8s. I know zip about them except there are two. I could be mistaken but I think there is a -1 and a -2. Don't know what this means except you need to do a bit of research before you buy. Also it has nothing to do with battery size.

That's true. I actually didn't catch that the OP only stated KR808 and not KR808D-1.

But assuming that he already has cartomizers as that is what he is asking about then chances are it is the KR808D-1.

To the OP: Does it state anything other than simply KR808 on the package or manual?

This page has a lot more information about KR808s, including precise measurements, which should help considerably with making sure which model you have.

According to it (and your own post of course), you have a model consisting of three parts, a battery, an atomizer, and a cart. You can refill the cart with liquid, and of my 510 carts, I only managed to break a single one since I started vaping. I doubt yours are that much less stable, so getting new carts should not be that urgent.

What you will inevitably need, though, is a second PV. Those things don't have a life expectancy of years to start with, and what do you do when you charge your battery, for example? I'd check out, though, whether yours really is enough for you, those super-minis tend to be a bit on the weak side when it comes to vapour or running time of battery. You quickly might find that you need a bigger PV; with "bigger" not exactly being that big.

But regardless of whether you get another KR808, or a different model, do compare prices. I do believe that SE are not exactly cheap, to put it mildly; but I don't follow US prices very closely.

I'm definitely looking into getting another pv. Size really doesn't matter to me, I don't care how much it looks like a normal cig. I'm more interested in vapor production and flavor, since I do smoke hookah every once in a while.

And while I'm here, I was wondering if I refilled the carts that came with my 808, will the previous flavor affect the new one I use?

Then you may be interested in a Janty eGo, vapor is great, battery time is unmatched for anything that size. Taste of course is a matter of, but I am decidedly fond of my 510. (The eGo is basically a big battery for the 510 atomizer.) Only for some very delicate flavours I prefer a 901.
As adapters are available for everything to be vaped on everything, trying new atties has become not just easiy, but also affordable.

Refilling, well: If you have a cart with, say, menthol flavour, and just refill it with tobacco, you will of course still taste menthol with your tobacco. You should be able to wash the cart and the filling with hot water, that should very much lessen the problem. But then, unless you use two utterly incompatible flavours, it does actually not matter very much in my experience. Well, as long as you don't try to go from clove to vanilla - in that case I recommend another cart. ;)

Heh, I'm a fan of clove, and I'm a fan of vanilla, but mixing the two just doesn't sound too good.

I think what I may do is take the current filling out of the carts and replace it with cotton cig filters. My main problem is I'm currently without any sort of credit card... So I can't really order stuff online unless I pay a friend to do it for me. Anyways, at the moment I think the best thing I can do is refill the carts that it came with, after changing the filling, of course. :p Any recommendations on where to buy the liquid? I'd like to try a few different flavors, so I'm looking for something relatively inexpensive.
