i am still new to vaping with my lavatube and tank setup. but i keep reading about people dripping and i am not completely sure what this is. to me i would think this would be more time consuming and complicated than a normal tank setup so what is the point with dripping and also on the lavatube would this be what i would want to buy if i did want to try dripping.

Yes it would be more time consuming and complicated than a normal tank setup.

The good thing about dripping is you can SAMPLE eliquids; it is especially usefull for people who DIY make their own eliquids.

It is also usefull to have in a vape store to provide customers a way to sample before they buy..

that atomiser in the picture looks like its for dripping.

What tank do you curently use?

The whole deal with dripping is being able to build coils the way you want, with the resistance you want using cotton as a wick so you can get the best flavor and vape possible. Some do it just to chase clouds and some do it for flavor and others do it as a regular vape because it brings out the most flavor. in my eyes dripping is fun because you get the most flavor out of any device and you can blow out some crazy vape while your at it.

That'll work!! I haven't used that particular one, but the ones I do use work great. You just put a few drops in, put on a drip tip and hit it!! I use a long drip tip as they can sometimes spit juice at you. They are easily cleaned too. You will want to get some lower nic juice to use with it as you will get a much bigger nic hit with one, no doubt there.

i am currently using the tube tank provided in the lavatube V2.5 starter kit its a 7ml tank but i am looking to upgrade to a better tank i am not sure what tank i am going to buy but i am looking at the kangers. i have heard people say the kanger protank 2 is better and i have heard the aerotank is better to be quite honest i don't have a problem with air flow on my lavatube so i may go with the protank 2 because i can get 4ohm heads for it here is what i am looking at getting

Kanger Protank 2 - Viper Vape Inc

and i am going to use the 4ohm heads here

Kanger Protank 2 Replacement Head - Viper Vape Inc

from what i have read and looked at it seems the higher ohm are better for vaping at high volts and also they seem to last longer. but if that is wrong please let me know. also what are your suggestions on the tanks.

If your lava tube has the outer eGo threads, I would recommend the kanger miniprotank2 instead of the protank2.
As for the aerotank, that sounds good too.

The most advanced variable voltage electronic cigarette

also here is a pic of my setup the picture is in the pdf file i am not yet fully used to this forum and am not sure the best way of uploading high quality pics inline on a post. but just save or open the pdf to see the pic of my setup.

Dripping, its what happens when you contract a horrible STD ... or when you apply e-liquid directly to a wick inside of an atomizer purpose built for that sort of vaping.

I generally suggest avoiding the former and highly recommend the latter.

In both forms of dripping the pleasure is not going to last very long without properly looking after the dripper. The STD form of dripping needs professional attention, where as the vaping sort you can address in the privacy of your own home with little more than some commonly found items in your vape-kit. Please don't try to use your vape-kit items to address STD dripping, likewise your general practice doctor isn't going to be able to address your vape related dripping issues.

Lastly, it is OK to share that you've found yourself dripping if its of the vaping sort, otherwise I'm just not interested.

BUT for real what are your suggestions on the tank i should get and is a 4 ohm head better than a 3 ohm when vaping with a high volt mod like the lavatube which goes up to 6v

The norm is 2 ohm.
I hear of 3 ohm.

I have never heard of a 4 ohm commercial coil.

The protanks for example come with 1.8 2.0 2.2 2.4 ohm coils.
Dual coil heads will often have 2 four ohm coils in parallel, which measures as a 2 ohm coil.

Wattage per coil is usually in the 5 watts region on common commercial coils.

also thinking about this
510 U-DCTank Combo
it has a 6ml tank but it uses cartridge cartomizers and it locks them into place

but the protanks use a coil head

so what is better in terms of lasting longer and better hits using a normal cartridge cartomizer or using the coil heads in the protank series.

I would personally recommend dripping because of my personal experience and preference. I started with a protank 2 mini, then the protank 2. I eventually got tired of leaking and lack of ease when changing flavors.
I went straight to rba's after two weeks of vaping and havent looked back. Coils are easier than you think, especially if you are decent with electronics. If you are still unsure just try some premade drippers.

yea that looks interesting i will buy a drip style atomizer for my lavatube and give it a try but i still want to experiment with tanks for a while i vape on this thing constantly even when doing my daily commute of 25 miles to and from college so i dont' think its safe to drink and drive or drip and drive. thats why i want to stay with the tank but i will get one so that i can sample different kinds of liquid and i will probably get a variety of different tanks for switching flavor quickly. but i would like to know what style of tank cartomizer is best the regular cartridge tank cartos or the coil head type used in the protanks.

I drip exclusively....I started with the dripping atomizer that you have shown in the link. I am now using RDA's (re-buildable dripping atomizers). You get much better flavor and 'hits' with dripping. Just a warning if you use those dripping atomizers make sure to use a drip tip with it or you will burn your lips very badly...it gets very hot. another advantage is you can change flavors very easily. I find that tanks mute flavors a lot. But, to each their own....you should try several different methods of vaping to find what works best for you.
