Quick Question

Hi all, have a quick question about vv mods. Say i had a vv/vw mod with 3-6 v or 3-15 watt modes. The amp lmit is 4-5amps (can't remember exactly). In VV mode (lets say 6.0 volts) would the power still be limited to 15 watts?

Reason i'm asking is i wanna vape a genesis coiled at 0.6-0.9 ohms and see if there is really a difference in vape quality.

Edit : I know most mods have low resistance protections of 1.2 ohms, so lets say the coil is made at 1.2 ohms instead.

Great Question!
In VV mode a 1.5ohm coil at 6v would be 24 watts.
In VW mode a 1.5ohm coil at 15 watts would have to have a voltage of less than 5v.
(its 5:30am here hope my numbers are right lol)
It does seem the VW max of 15 is a limit in the watts selection only.

1.2@6V would be about 30w and at least 5amps.

Thanks a mil for the answers guys. Couldn't really find much info on this. Pbusardo's charts are good but they show the relative output of the PVs in voltage mode only. And he doesn't test them on a genesis style atty.
