Im just wonder since its a dual coil do i double the ohms

Is it a stock coil? If so, then whatever you bought is the total resistance of the coil. If you have a stock 0.8Ω coil you will not be able to use it in your mod.

A stock 0.8Ω dual coil is really 2-1.6Ω coils in the atomiser.

Ok thanks, im still new at this ,sorry. So if im trying to find out how many watts i should l run my mod at using the ohms law calculator the resistance value i input should be 1.8 not 3.6.

What mod and tank are you using? What is the ohm of your stock coil? You are making this much more difficult than it needs to be.

You don't need to use an ohm's law calculator. Set your wattage to the lowest number and then slowly dial it up until you start getting a burnt taste, then dial it down a notch or two and vape.

If my mod is just a vw thay goes up 15 and im using a1.8 coil how do i find out the correct voltage to run?

Set your voltage or wattage to the lowest number and then slowly dial it up until you start getting a burnt taste, then dial it down a notch or two and vape. Some flavors like higher v/w and some like lower v/w. You will have to experiment to see what works best for you.

As Susan said, there is no "right" wattage. Those charts are a very rough guide at best, and very outdated usually. Start low and work upward. When you take a vape and say"holy crap!" You hit the right amount of power. If you have a coughing fit and say "holy crap" (in a bad way) turn it down.

Jersey, W = V^2/R. So, if your max wattage is 15, and you're running a 1 ohm coil, your voltage would be Sqrt(15W * 1 ohm) = 3.9V (actually, a smear less than that.)

That being said, a "typical" starting point would be about 2V + Coil Resistance, so you should be starting around 9W = (2+1)^2/1. Then, as others have suggested, nudge up from there. Most of my coils are in the 1.8 ohm ballpark, and I run about 9-10W on about all my toppers/mods.

Just because you "can" doesn't mean you "should" :)
