Only problem with that is you can't build alien or staggered fused clapton wire on it. That's for taking the wire and making it into a coil. If your just making single strand coils that's all fine and dandy.

What the OP is asking is for a drill to be able to build the exotic wire to then use the coil building jig. You have to get through the 1st step in order to do the 6th step.

Sorry, I thought the OP was talking about winding pre-made Clapton. I can see the need for a drill to make the Clapton wire. I'm an old school plain coil winder.

After too may failures, I've given up on Ni-Cd powered drills.
Usefully, the most recent failure was a short enough time ago that my replacement cordless is coming from the household budget, not my vaping one
I have a bosch corded drill, which is very good, but also rather loud. The advantage of that type is that they have the standard 50mm collar attachment for a forward handle, drill press, or bench mount!

Iirc the OP is interested in doing exotic coils such as claptons and staples which entail first winding the wire.

You're right though in that for actual coil building that tool is da bomb
