I am new to the forum and new to vaping. I quit smoking on the evening of Christmas Eve when I received my first "e-cig" from my wife for Christmas. I already new what the gift was because I am hard to shop for so I actually helped her pick out the battery and tank although it was her idea to buy it for me. I have smoked off and on for over 30 years. I had quit 10 years ago for about a year but began smoking again after spending 2 months with my father while he was in SICU. It's funny how the craving and breaking down to cigarettes is triggered by different situations in life. Anyway I have only had slight cravings for a cigarette but the "e-cig" has sufficed and curbed those cravings.

My set up an Aspire Nautilus Mini sitting on a Spinner two. I have some RY4 and Desert Max VG juice to start off with but just recently purchased some Kiwi Strawberry 60/40 juice which I am enjoying. I think I have been bitten by the bug since I am already thinking about purchasing another tank so I can easily switch between two flavors going forward.

Welcome and good luck! I started a similar thread almost two months ago when I was 5 days off of cigarettes, lol.

I also managed to quit about 10 years ago, but mine only lasted 6 months, and me taking them back up was triggered by my wife becoming unexpectedly pregnant with our youngest.

A second tank does help for flavor switching. I run a Protank 2 and a Protank 2 mini. I use the larger for out and running around because I have to fill it less, and the mini at home, mainly because I like it better.

A second battery would be a good idea, too. So you have a back up while one is charging.

I don't post a lot, but come on here a ton because there is a ton of great info on just about anything you might want to know. It is a great community full of people looking to help each out and share good advise.

Welcome and congrats on your start!

I agree with a second battery to use while the other is charging. And, as I learned when starting, do not put a tank on each battery and grab one setup then the other to change juice. Change the tank on one battery and when that one needs charged, go to the other.. I had both go out within 15 minutes of each other and that was the last cig I had, about 6 months ago.

Howdy David!!

Congrats and Welcome!!

two of my aquaintances are on the Lung transplant recipient waiting list, that or toting around their oxygen when we'd go shopping kind of ran it home for me. I'd always knew I needed to quit and had many many times, for five years once, two months, two weeks or two days but it was getting time and past time for a permanent solution, vaping has saved my and my significant other's lives or extended them for sure.

Congrats on getting bit by the vaping bug! Its the best decision I've ever made!

Make sure you get multiples of everything! Backups for your backups! You're on the right track getting more tanks. When I started I always kept 4 Protanks going at all times! A tobacco, fruit, some sort of bakery flavor, and the 4th was always a toss up. Just whatever I felt like putting in that day.

Enjoy yourself and the folks here! We're a silly bunch! I spend more rime here thsn with my real friends! It really has become a family! I hope we can answer any questions you have. All you have to do is ask!

I would highly suggest getting another tank. I've been vaping for about a year now and on days where I am home on the computer all day I pretty much chain vape 8-9 ml of juice on those days and use 3 different flavors each being 1.8% (or 18 mg) nicotine . Being able to easily switch flavors just increases the enjoyment you'll get out of vaping. I've even gone as far as making sure I have 2 chargers and 3 batteries so I never have to worry about having dead batteries on these days.

Now, I know the amount I use on those days sounds extreme, and to many people it is. However in terms of how it will effect you, the way my lungs feel during my workout on those days and the next is similar to if I smoked like 2 or 3 regular cigarettes (which is pretty good considering the amount of vape would be equivalent to like 2 packs of cigs worth of smoke). Despite that, I can still do those "Insanity Max 30" videos better than the people in the video. So long story short - vape, vape, and vape some more, lol.

Thank you! I appreciate everyone on here. Just bought another genuine nautilus mini for $25.

Now back to my kiwi strawberry.
