Hello, all. :)
I am almost 60 years old, female, been smoking since the age of 15, and have been smoking 2 packs a day for many years.
I was convinced to try ecigs on another forum (LE) and decided to buy some Flings from White Cloud and give them a try.
I was able to stop smoking cigs with the Flings (I tried the Blu and something else from Walgreens, and they were horrible), so I ordered a starter kit from White Cloud--the Cirrus 3x. It was VERY EXPENSIVE. But, it was also really good, and I liked them and it has worked for me.
I also ordered a starter kit from V2, with the long batteries, and it has been great as well. I have ordered more carts from White Cloud and V2, so I am stocked up.
It's been almost a month, and I haven't had a real cigarette, nor have I wanted one. My goal was to stop smoking. I can "vape" at work, not cough for a half hour in the morning, and still smell OK. ;-) I really like the White Cloud and V2 menthol flavors. I hope I can wean myself off of the ecigs, and at least reduce the nicotine.
I don't want another hobby. I don't want to find neat stuff and mix my own and find cool tanks and tips and stuff like that--I just want to vape a good cig-like 2 piece and get off the cigs for good.
I understand that most people here are not like me, and they want liquids, and mods, and stuff like that. But there are people who LIKE White Cloud, V2, and who only want to get off cigarettes.
So, please don't assume that everyone who posts here as a newbie wants to make vaping their new hobby. For some people, like me, White Cloud and V2 are great choices. :)

Hi Moondanse! It's a great thing after smoking for so long that ecigs and vaping haves helped you quit. THAT is all that matters so big congrats on that. It doesn't matter what hardware or juice you are using .. It's whatever works for you to stay off the analogs! You should be proud. For me it is a hobby because vaping has saved my life and I enjoy everything about it. Just keep moving forward and don't ever turn back. Gl and happy vaping from Las Vegas!

You are off the cigarettes, that is what matters. Congrats! Where you go from here is whatever you want. As you are on a specialist forum, there will be people that treat this as a serious hobby. While their goals may not be identical to yours, the do offer a wealth of insight.

There is a vaping solution for everyone and no solution is for everyone. Whatever makes you happy.:)

I originally looked into vaping as a way to just quit smoking... then planned to quit vaping...

Looked at blu, tried an expensive cig-a-like... failed.

Then my second attempt a year later I went in not thinking "I want to quit smoking and then quit vaping"... instead I went in thinking.... "I'm going to try vaping"...

I bought an overpriced ego-t kit....

Haven't smoked since.

I've evolved to dripping and various mods.... and have no intention of quitting.... truth is, I love vaping so much more than I ever enjoyed smoking ... I've been smoke free for a year and in this year plan to cut my nicotine in half.... next year I'll go to 0 nic... but I'll keep vaping, I love the clouds of vapor, I love the taste, I love the technology, the tinkering, the art...

But I am not you and while I am incredibly happy to say I am a vaper... I completely understand how you may not be.

But in the end, neither of us are smokers anymore... and that's what really counts.

Sent from the ether using the power of my mind... and the Tapatalk app.

Congrats!!! That's fantastic that they worked for you. I was also a long term fairly heavy smoker (37 yrs for me). It's wonderful you've found what works and have no need for more. I was able to resist the cig cravings after I started vaping, but it's only been the last couple of months that I've found what kills the cravings for me. You're doing great!!

Congratulations on not smoking! That's the most important thing. Although this is a hobby for many of us, it certainly doesn't have to be.

You've quit smoking and you're improving your health!! Here, that's far more important than our toys.

i second that sir..big salute to all fellow vapers
