High-test nic, properly sealed up, and stored in a freezer should last 5 years at least. Nic has two enemies: Light and oxygen. Freezers minimize both; they're dark inside and the cold temperature minimizes the reaction between the nic can any oxygen remaining in the headspace of the container.
VG itself will also last for years as long as the bottle it's in remains sealed. However, once you open the bottle, the contents of that bottle should probably be used within about a year. I don't worry about VG too much; it's not like our masters are going to restrict, regulate, or charge outrageous taxes on straight VG.
