Hi and welcome to ECF,

I vape 90%+ vg and with the newer bottom coil tanks have never had to thin my juices. So I would suggest trying without thinning first. You can always thin later if you decide you need to.

Yes, your vg should be USP.

Please talk to the guys at that shop BEFORE you have them add nic, many vendors use pg based nicotine. That could be a problem if that is what they are using.

There are not many vg based flavorings, but also check out DIY Flavor Shack as well Dawn has started carrying some vg based flavorings.

While I have heard of people using these at times, no they are not needed. I have been DIY'ing for 3+ years and NEVER added these things to a juice.

TH is caused by your nic level, other things such as menthol, and some flavorings such as cinnamon can add to the th.

If you are open to trying dripping, I would suggest a cisco 510 1.8 ohm, I do suggest a sealed 510/510 adapter and drip shield. Not only does this give good flavor, but has a tighter draw than many tanks or rba/rda's out on the market and with what you are liking draw wise it worth checking out. It also will not matter how thick or thin a juice is with them.

While you are using pen styled devices I wouldn't go below the 1.8 ohm.

Higher levels of PG causes throat hit too.

NancyR, thanks for the detailed reply, very helpful! :)

So yesterday I made my first NO PG juice and vaping it right now. :)))
I only mixed the VG with the nic in VG + 15% DW.
It's working! :)

I'm still looking for good flavorings, until then I'm just gonna vape non flavored.
It does the job for now. :)

Yes, that's exactly what happened. It was in PG. :( And it was an emergency already. Ugh...
Called every shop around and luckily I find one place where I could buy some nic in VG. ;)

I've checked them, thanks. Couldn't find any citrus / sour type flavorings.

The best I found is the ECX (NorthWest VG flavors).
Pretty good price, 10ml $3. I think it's artificial tho, I wish it would be natural (I'm still waiting for their reply on this)
I guess I will go with it and see if my body will be fine with it.

I was planning to add some mint/menthol and would try the cinnamon as well.
Since these flavors tend to crack my plastic attys.
I'm searching for a glass tank right now and have posted a question under Clearomizers forum.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for the dripping yet but I'll save the info for later.

I'm basically down to
- Kayfun Lite Plus (thanks for the recommendation Two_Bears and Needo)
I found some interesting review what says that some clone Kayfun Lite Plus "Black Edition" has an even tighter airflow. Maybe that's the one!?

- Aspire Nautilus mini or
- Ego ONE kit or a SubEGO ?

Please be very very careful using that on your current ego batteries, and please do not take the ohm very low, and never subohm on an ego.

Nancy I used to sub ohm on an EVOD battery or x6 battery all the time before getting my istick40tc.

I prefer my resistance at .8-1ohm. Wouldn't try a .5 or .3 build bit with care of is possible to subohm on batteries not for sub ohm ing

well no offence, but subohming on a ego style battery is stupid, they can short out very easily, you should never take one below 1.7 ohms

Just recently I reviewed a liquid company called Be Kuali America. They use Triacetin, it works like PG without causing allergic reactions. Matter of fact it is approved to be hypoallergenic. You could contact them, they have some dirt cheap liquids and they arw all BOGO.

Their website says they use pg.

"First we source our base ingredients such as Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin from trusted U.S. suppliers. "
