Quitting smoking after 6 years, moving into Vap. Suggestions?

I've been using e cigs for a little while. Maybe 8 months but I started off as a half hearted way to "quit" smoking for my ex who hated cigs. So I originally started off with Clean Cigs, those nasty things you buy at gas stations. Now I'm using a variable volt ZVapor battery and a KangerTech Pro tank with a (I'm not a pro, idk what I'm talking about, I'll admit it) it's a veritable connection that you can use to control air input into the tank to create more or less vapor.

Anyhow, I'm not a hobbiest really. But I made a pact with a friend to quit smoking and I really want to but sometimes the E cigs leave me with cravings. I'm just looking to find the best set up for slowly quitting cigarettes, I know it won't be the same but something close maybe? No e cigs I've tried had given me that nice, smooth throat hit with the same amount of "smoke". It seems very give or take. Throat hit or lots of vapor. And I LOVE the massive clouds of vapor I can make with my current set up. I just wonder if there is something better for quitting. The throat hit is my biggest thing. I end up drawing on mine until it blinks out and never get that real HIT. It just hurts to blow it all out. That's not quite what I'm looking for lol

Any suggestions? Price is a deal but not too big. I'm committed to quitting now and I know the investment in a good set up will be worth it. I just spent $85 on a bigger battery, the attachment and new wicks. So I'm willing to spend if it's really worth it. Just no $150 batteries or wicks I need to thread on my own, you know?
Only thing is, the people I know who vap use those intense batteries with huge, rebuild able tanks. Which is fine. But I'm not doing this for the hell of it. It hits great and makes clouds but when I'm craving Nic I don't have the patience to drip liquid every 4 hits or lock the battery each hit. I need something low key that works.

Any suggestions considered. I know I might be unreasonable but I'm just looking for something that will work for a bit.

You want throat hit and to help get off the stinkies, my advice (and I'm a newb too...)

Higher propylene glycol and higher nicotine in your juice, for starters. PG brings over the flavor and throat hit moreso that VG (vegetable Glycerin). My local vape shop's "store juice" is 40/60. You might consider something more like 80/20.

Also some places, the highest nicotine is 24mg. You might want 36mg.

Good luck. I've been off the stinkies for over a month, and haven't craved one since day one. "pack and a half of Camel lights/day" smoker.

ETA: I'm 42 years old, started when I was 15. I'd tried quitting at least a dozen times over the years. Tried patches, gum, Chantix, and disposable cigalikes. None of that worked for me. But seriously the vape did it for me overnight. I started with 70/30 36mg "turkish" flavor.

Your setup doesn't really matter, as long as it's producing vapor you're good. It's really all up to what you're looking for. A pretty good starting device is an MVP 2.0. I have a mini protank 3 on mine and it hits amazingly, even at 100% VG. If you're really looking for throat hit, you could try some harsher flavours with a high PG content. Menthol, cinnamon, cola, citrus... Stuff like that, but these types of eliquids are known to crack plastic tanks. You may want to try 80/20 PG/VG or 75/25. Even with my 80/20 rainbow sherbet from MBV I still get a lot of vapor.

If you wanted adjustable airflow, a really nice tank for that is the Aspire Nautilus. Tighter draws from lung hits and lots of airflow for, well, whatever else. It's a pretty expensive tank but it's really nice. I was hesitant to buy it at first but so far I've been loving it. I hope you find what you're looking for, just remember that anything's better than going back to smoking tobacco.

IMHO if you do not want to build your own coils but want a good solid vape you should look into the Aspire Nautilus BDC tank system. Hands down the best vape you can get IMO without building your own coils and what not. Then I would look into a regulated device like an MVP2 made by Innoken. That will keep your over all set up relatively small.

As far as still having cravings it depends on what you are craving. You may be craving more nicotine which is an easy fix of just getting higher nic strength juice. For me I needed the larger vapor production in order to be satisfied by these. I was a pack a day smoker for 10 years. I switched in december 2013 and was using 18mg for a few weeks. As I changed my vaping gear to drippers and kayfun style tanks I dropped my nic level to 6mg. The delivery is much higher on these devices.

For you, I still recommend the Nautilus.
