Either cvs sterile rolled cotton or sterile cotton balls. One package should last a few lifetimes. Also, I'm unfamiliar with the DNA mods, but I'm fairly certain they can check the resistance on your coils. If you're not educated on battery safety keep the ohms above 1.0 and read baditude's blog on battery safety. Also, if you can find general suns it's much better than camel.

what about cotton yarn? cotton balls seem less ideal than cotton yarn to me but i literally have no clue to RBA. what about safety of cotton vs. silica? and flavor difference. alot of conflicting opinions in this community but i love that too.

I wish I spent the $100's I wasted (okay, not wasted, it was all nice enough) on "starter" gear toward the exceptional gear you've got going on. Even though your mod will read resistance, I always recommend a separate ohm meter and a multimeter. Those two devices are a $25 investment well spent. Multimeter can check more than just your coil builds (and who wants to take the topper off their device to check whatever they're currently building? Not this multitasking gal!)

Oh, and read like a fiend on everything electrical, coil building advice and tutorials, and post some pics of your devices. We love pictures!

And when in doubt, ask lots of questions. The collective wisdom of everyone here is priceless when getting into rebuildables for the first time. Good luck, be safe, and vape on!

Hi

I'm kinda assuming based on your join date that this isn't your first attempt. If you tried before with what was available waaay back in 2010 it's a completely different experience now. Nothing wrong with Snus but don't be surprised if you find you really don't need them either.

You got good gear! But what's your smoking history and what liquids did you get? Specifically what mg nic levels? That's a bigger part of this when starting than the hardware itself. The best hardware in the world won't do it for you if you get the nic level wrong.

The most important thing is to find the right juice. That varies by person. Obviously, you want a taste you enjoy. And you need to find the right nic level. If you don't have enough nic, or if you have too much, it either won't work for you, or not as well. With the right nic level and a juice you like, I think the rest is fairly easy.
