Good, bad, ugly or just down right lame or stupid, add your own 'favourite' quote of the week-vaping related of course

And first up
In relation to the fast dissolving 'Gate-way' argument oft cited by the 'alphabets' et al

"As I keep repeating, why would an almost undetectable and harmless habit costing £5 a week lead to a habit banned indoors, very detectable with probable helath risks, costing £50 a week? They must know they are talking rubbish" .

For a start, I'll go with the quote I like so much I made it part of my signature:

"Since we don't know the long-term negative impacts of unchecked prohibitionists, the prudent move should be to ban prohibitionists until further evidence proving their safety and efficacy has been published."

To illustrate the jaw dropping incompetence of the EU-Commission proposals

"The flavour thing is more restrictive than most people appear to have realised. The only flavours that are to be permitted must meet two conditions.
1. They must be on the list of flavours currently used in NRT products.
[listed in in earlier thread]
2. The flavours used must not appeal to children.

So, tobacco flavour is out, because it is not on that list. ALL the flavours on that list appeal to children. So this is just a perverse way of saying that NO FLAVOURS WHATSOEVER will be permitted."

Frédérique Ries; "Et que les talibans du tabac, pour des raisons sincères ou moins claires veulent pénaliser. C'est plus qu'une erreur, une faute."
Translation..."And the tobacco Taliban for sincere or less clear reasons want to penalize. That's an error, a mistake. "
Tobacco Taliban encapsulates it , ideological and power driven loons.

Tobacco taliban indeed. It's "quit or die" with them, and I don't think they particularly want us to quit...

They are definitely PO'd we no longer hand over our hard earned cash to their silly cause. What they really want is to force us back to tobacco, so they can collect their share; bar that, they're probably better off with us out of the picture, so we can't convert any more of their "contributors" into :vapor:...

However, I'm pretty sure the "tobacco taliban" are fighting their last battle; one last thrashing before their entire citadel of lies comes crashing down. This genie is not going back into the bottle!
