OP...I have had a similar issue with my SVD. I have to push my firing button pretty hard now to get it to fire. Still works but not as fluid as it should be. Also seems like I have to push it on the edge at times to get it to fire. I've had mine for a month or so. Luckily the place I got mine from does not have the 2 day DOA policy and is going to send a replacement.

Sorry to hear about your SVD. I got two from fasttech back when they came out and they still work fine. I have given them to family members and they use them everyday. Great mods, Built well.. If you would have gotten it from fasttech, they have a 6 months return policy. They are slow, but they do come through.

As far as the Provari hater.... well... you wont know until you use one. With a statement like you made, you have never had one in your hand nor have you used one. I have had one for about a month and have ordered another yesterday for a family member. I wont tell you what I think of them...... but you might be able to guess.

See this is what im talking about right here. I didnt even say anything bad about them really, I just said its possible there not the best thing ever made and im called a hater and accused of lying about ever have even held one. Ridiculous, but sadly expected

If you can afford a Provari, you can. And you understand.

If you cannot, you don't own one and can't truly understand.

Call me a fanboy, at this age I couldn't give two poops about what you think of me, I stand alone in my actions and behavior.

But 99.999% of everyone who has a chip on their shoulder about a Provari either doesn't own one or can't afford one.

And so they resent it. The device itself.

You think we're cocky because we own one.

Others get angry and lash out because they can't own one and those who do... well, they're just better than you. Right?

You can't knock something you've never used or owned. But you can knock the people who do.

Yes, some Provari owners can be cocky and arrogant, but they'd be cocky and arrogant anyway without it.

What a sad, sad, sad debate this is. It's cyclical. It'll never go away.

I can afford a provari. I just chose to get something different. It works for me. Some people cannot afford one though and are looking for a less expensive option. It does get a little old that in every thread where someone is looking for a $30 or $40 PV the provari fans show up implying that the OP will not be happy until he has one. Not everyone wants a provari. A lot of people are new to vaping and may not want to commit that amount of money to vaping until that are more assured that vaping is going to work for them. I am enjoying my vape with what I have and that's all that matters to me. Stating that a person does not have one only because they cannot afford one is nonsense. That is where the chip on the shoulders are coming from.

134 is gorgeous, and btw I agree with the earlier post, its incredibly arrogant to say that because someone chooses a different apv they cant afford a provari, get a life sad man, and oh yeah btw a provari is not nearly the most expensive mod you can buy.

I get that argument, it has actually appeared in numerous threads before you ever joined ECF.

Price, personal choice, new, yada yada yada.

It's not the device, it's the user's behavior.

On the money Rocket!

Always enjoy you being around. Quite a difference between recommending Top Quality and insulting someone for personal choice. Some others just do not get it.

I'd think with more than 2 dozen devices in my collection people would realize I can use what I choose. I simple am not ready for what provari is offering at this time. Maybe on the next release.

I figure it is less reasonable to accept something as is than to hold out for something closer to your preference. whatever that may be.:D

Expecting this thread to close soon. It is officially DERAILED

I don't post to much on ECF although I read daily. I've learned 99.9% of my e-cig knowledge here and haven't had a smoke since December because of it. For that I'm thankful. As a newb here on ECF I was getting a bit frustrated at one point. In fact at one point I had a suspicion ECF was affiliated with the provari. Of course I know now that's not the case. But at the time I was asking newb questions like "best VW mod under $100", " help me pick a mod", etc.. The answer was always "buy a provari and you will live in happiness forever" or "Buy a provari and your life will be better". The frustrating thing was the provari would never fit the requirements I listed but it was always being forced on me. I was expecting the provari whitnesses to knock at my door with a provari pamphlet. None of the other mods were being forced down my throat just the provari. It was a big turn off. I used a provari for about a month when I first started vaping, a friend lent me his extra. It's a great performing mod but I think its ugly as hell. I really don't like the tapered top. I can most certainly afford them but I just don't care for them.
I'm not sure what makes provari owners try and force them on people. It's not the most expensive mod by any means. It's not the prettiest or the most powerful. It's just a nice high quality mod. Yet we all see many many threads with someone asking about an ego twist and someone has to say "just buy a provari and you will better understand the universe". I don't understand this frustrating phenomenon.

The provari in it's current state is not appealing to me in the least. It's 1 button navigation system, lack of vw, and overall appearance just doesn't justify the price for me. I get great performance from my mechs and my cheap vv/vw devices.

I just don't understand how vehemently people hate or love this THING. It's just a metal tube with some bits in it, it does nothing but power the thing that vaporizes your juice. This THING doesn't kill babies or detect early stages of prostate cancer, so can we all just relax.

if you like it great, if you don't like it fine, but once you start assuming detail's of someone's character or economic situation, that is when you become a provari douche, whether you're for it or not.
