Radio Ad - I need your help

This is a bit of a long shot, but here is the deal, we have decided that we would like to promote our store and create some interest in the electronic cigarette in South Africa , besides ourselves and another company we are the only two really pushing e cigs over here, the ads have to be 30 seconds.

If you have any really good ideas for a radio ad I would love to hear them, or some really powerful wording or analogues to scare the crap out of smokers and make them think about making the switch, any ideas would be appreciated.

I don't know "scaring the crap out of smokers" is a good idea. I hate preachy things like that. In the UK, progressively bigger health warnings (and even now, scary pictures) on packs of cigs designed to scare people have had very little impact.

Could play on new year resolutions maybe? Lots of people make resolutions to give up smoking at new year which right about now, some people may be falling off the wagon. You can push the tactile similarity to a real cigarette, lack of CO and tar.

Is there an indoor smoking ban in SA?

Yes there is a indoor smoking ban in South Africa, bars and night clubs seem to be excluded, restaurants have inclosed smoking areas, if they do not you smoke outside.

There is absolutely no proof that e-smoking is either safe or healthy. Carefully read some threads in the Law and Health sections to find out how unprovable claims can rear up and bite you. Do not make claims that have not been substantiated by clinical trial.

Be clever. Promote benefits like environmental friendliness (no butts for animals to ingest, or to litter city streets), or no fire hazard (fall asleep with the e-cig in your hand).

Stay FAR away from health issues. None are resolved.

Don't sell our practice with fear tactics. It would be a disservice.
