now i myself did not hear this, but my dad ( the one who sent me the cnn news link and told me about e-cigs in the first place) said he was sitting in the break room at work and heard a commercial on the radio, they were giving away free e-cigs, all you had to do is call this number, my dad said that the commercial said it was $200 worth of stuff ( we both agreed that, that part was to hype it up) cuz that would have to be alot of stuff to be 200 bucks worth lol. he said that it said the name of the e-cig but he couldnt remember..... now im gunna have to listen to this crappy radio station ( country ewwww ) and see if i hear it.

anyone else heard or seen this yet/before ?

You can count on it that they are not free at all. They will probably give you the e-cig for free, but you will have to buy a subscription for carts or something like that. When all is said and done, you will end up paying 200 bucks for the e-cig. You will be much better off buying from one of the trusted vendors that support this site. You will be much happier in the long run

yup, smoke assassin is what I heard too. Apparently though, for some reason they want a credit card for this free cigarette. Sounds to me like a non-mentioned ISP that gets you in, then refuses to cancel something when you call...

I'd be careful with this you guys!

But on another viewpoint, I'm glad it is on the radio, somewhat getting information out to John Q. Public! It does mention it is not smoke, that it is vapor.. I only wish they would mention this means no 2nd-hand smoke.

retyped for correction, since I cannot edit my own post

I hear the ads on the radio all the time. Smoke Assassin mostly and another one not so frequently, Smokers Savior(?) or something to that effect. From what I've heard, the device is "free" it's the subscription plan for cartridges that nails you. To the uninitiated I'm sure it sounds like a hell of a deal, but for those of us who know better (i.e. everyone on this board for any reasonable amount of time) their prices would be considered highway robbery. I'm glad to see the technology getting some mainstream exposure, my biggest fear is that their products won't live up to the hype they are given in those ads, and it will destroy the credibility of all the products that we know do work. Kind of like judging all cars after driving only the Yugo (a Yugo priced as a Lexus with an exclusive refueling contract8-o! They could sweeten the deal by offering an unconditional guarantee or a warranty, but at the end of the day, it is still a Yugo.)
Another ad I heard mentioned "Free trial to the first 200 callers who call NOW!" It does disturb me that they are using the same techniques used by those Get-Rich-Quick schemes you also hear a lot of on the radio.
