lelly, where'd you get the replacement battery from...and which battery is it? You're not referring to a manual eGo from Jack, are you?

5 second cutoff should not be happening on any manual eGo or Mega eGo. Technically, they say there shouldn't be any cutoff with manual eGo's (but in practice, 10 to 15 seconds is the usual). Personally, I recommend that you get an automatic Mega eGo batt - I haven't experienced any cutoff with mine, to date.

Forgot to mention - I also recommend you get it from Jack!

No, the one I got for my hubby from Jack works beautifully (trying to convince him to trade, lol), the one I am refering to is the one from rainbowvapors. My kit came with 2 batteries and one of them was a dud, so I finally got the replacement.

I am just tempted to cut my losses with all of this rainbowvapors nonsense and grab a mega eGo battery from jack, atleast the parts are compatible, but I feel so cheated that I believe they should make this right, I completely agree that 5 second cutoff on a manual is unacceptable. I wonder if they actually know what they are selling, don't most vendors test a new product before selling it? It is visually different than the original in that there is a blue LED light on the end of it rather that the light on the button. I may be a bit naive in thinking that perhaps they didn't know? But really, how many chances should one company be given to get it right? Awaiting an email reply and I guess we'll see. Keep you guys posted, lol.

I think most vendors do test their products - but only to a point. Short of actually using each piece of equipment for several days - there's only so much that can be done.

We bought a Toshiba laptop from Staples a month ago - with all the bells and whistles and the new i3 processor (which is a really sweet piece of tech). A week later it had to be replaced cause the network card was bad. A laptop that doesn't connect to the internet is as useful as a PV that doesn't vape. Toshiba and Staples are both good companies - but with technology stuff happens. They made it right - that counts.

Good luck with this. Hope it all ends well.

Well I think I can finally lay this thread to rest. My experience with Rainbow vapor is officially over, but in a good way. After receiving 2 replacement batteries from them (1 in kit was a dud, the the second one they sent had 5 second cutoff) and then having issues with a hot battery and contacting them about it, instead of sending me another battery, a whole new kit arrived in the mail today. Even if anything from this kit is a dud, they have gone above and beyond to keep me happy and I have received so much from them already that I wouldn't dare ask for anything more! They are a good company with good people and being new, it is understandable some of the mistakes they have made. Thank you rainbowvapors, and you have cleared your name in my book.
