I replied to her mail, asking about what brand makes it, if genuine joyetech accessories will work with it, and what their return policy is. This is the reply I recieved:

yes you can go and buy joye tech products. Try your Ego out first, and you will see what I mean. ok. As for the returns policy just go to the site and click on warranty. I hope you will try it out.
Best regards, Cindy

No answer to the brand or who makes it, and when I go to their website and click on warranty, and the only information there is about manufacturers defects. I give up, I will try it out when it gets here, hopefully it works well and when I buy a joyetech ego from another company hopefully the parts will be interchangable so it wasn't a complete waste. So

lesson 1, after fighting with a supermini that I was charged WAY too much for and told that 5 carts and 1 bottle of juice=50-60 packs of cigs!!! on my first week of vaping, I learned that you need to research the product before you buy.

Lesson 2: research the company before ordering from them. I found the link to this company in a post on this website and it appealed to me because I could get both the juice and hardware at one location. I couldn't find much about it in terms of reviews, which should have put up a red flag right there.

In the end I overpaid again for something that was not as advertised (in terms of branding) .... lets just hope that this one doesn't completely dissapoint like my supermini did!! Anyone else thinking about buying from rainbowvapors.com I do not reccommend them!!!! They misrepresent their products, are overpriced, and are vague and sketchy in their policies. Just my opinion though. HappyVaper ... here I come!!!

Tough call & a personal decision........

How bad do you need/want this product ? If it were myself (and I can say this because a) I have other product I can use in the meantime, and b) I refuse to deal with a company that blatantly false represents their product (copyright infringement & dishonest business practises): I would refuse signing delivery if required, or mark the entire package "Return to Sender". I would then contact my Bank/Visa/Whatever and demand credit based on the vendors admission of false product representation ie: Not as ordered. THEN, I would contact Joytech and inform that a seller is using misrepresentation of goods as theirs and provide vendors links to the offence.

Again, that is ME.

Now, having said that.... it may very well be an adequate product that may do you well (as long as their claim of interchangeability is true), but only YOU can make that risk decision in the end.

Best of luck in either route you decide on !

VapeOn,
Greg

this is the problem, lol. I AM DESPERATE!!!! I started vaping with a supermini a week ago, have had problems with it right from the beginning, the batteries weren't charging, so the salesman was kind enough to completely exchange the whole kit for me, got it home, same problem. I let the saleman know and he went and tested the batteries from all of the other kits he had in stock, turns out the are ALL faulty, he thinks that they got frozen in transit from china?? So I am stuck with this one, getting about 5 decent puffs, charge for 1 hour, 5 more puffs....can't get new batteries for 2 weeks, and my "eGO" is expected to arrive on wednesday. I don't care how bad it is, it will be a step up from what I am using now, and I WILL NOT go back to analogs. I was tempted to put in a rush order from happyvaper but with the holidays and all it would probably arrive around the same time. So as much as I hate to do it, I will make do with whatever it is that comes.

Don't feel bad Lelly, I bought a few units before I went to HappyVaper and went through this with a different Canadian vendor when I ordered some juice. They claimed to have it in stock, then notified me that it was "In stock at the manufacturer.". Also, I had to grill them for a tracking number. It's a learning process, but you can be rest assured that Jack at HV will NEVER do anything like RainbowVapor just did.

I don't think this company offerers credit card payment..

How did you pay anyhow Lelly? Interac or COD?

Interac email

Actually I am pretty new to ordering anything online, and the few times that I have I paid with paypal. I had actually never even heard of interac email before and was suprised to find out that my bank even offered this service!! Is this a common method of payment and is there anything I should know about it?

Paypal will not take North American e-cigarette accounts. Interac is about the same as paying cash. It is very common in Canada for e-cigarette retailers, and a growing number of others.

I don't beleive you can dispute a transfer on any basis with Interac e-transfers, unless it was completely fradulant (i.e. the wrong person got the money). That may sound like a disadvantage but credit cards are starting to offer much less protection than they have in the past. In a case like this, you could only get your Interac transfer back if the retailer choose to do so. However I don't think a credit card company would offer any greater protection in a case like this.

Well I just picked up my "eGO" from the post office and so far I am less than impressed. I blew out the atty and puffed it dry, added a few drops of juice to the atty but it still tastes horrible. I have been reading around and I guess I should just keep puffing away at it and eventually it will go away? I noticed looking into both of the atomizers that there is a white wick(?) between the bridge and coils of the atty, the one that I am using is already a brown (burnt) color and the other one that I haven't used is white. On my supermini the atty was exposed and underneath the bridge I could see the coils exposed, no wick?, not sure which way it is supposed to be. It is hard to adjust it because the atty isn't exposed, but I tried pushing this material down a bit with a toothpick, no luck. Anyways, even with the aweful burnt taste the things I am most disappointed in is the quick drawand lack of TH. I am used to covering the 2 little holes on my supermini to get the slow draw that I like, but there is 4 holes on this one, and they are covered by the cone thing (I tried without but it gets pretty hot). I basically feel like I am sucking air out of a straw. Is this common for all eGO's? Is there a way to mod this? I have a pack of carto's coming from happyvaper, any chance these will resolve that problem?

What kind of atty are you using? I burned out 4 LR306s from cisco before I realized how to use them properly (drop like 7 drops in the first time, then use 2-3 as a top up), doesn't mean your "ego" is bad.

Again, depending on the atty/carto, you will get different draws on it, some do feel like you're just sucking through a straw, you can try to tighten them up a bit, and see if that helps, but don't tighten it too much.

Cartos are kind of tough, I'm not sure which ones you're getting (reg 510, lr510, ce2-r4) but if you post which ones I can try and help you fill them properly so that you have a good first experience, because I f'd up a lot of cartos too before I got them to work the way I want them too.

edit: For cartos you need to be patient to fill them the first time, don't just load 18 drops in and vape it right away, it won't end well.

Blank (empty) cartomizers (cartridge + atomizer combined into a single unit) for the Happy 510/eGo e-cigarette. these are the cartos that are otw.

I am not sure what kind of atty I am using, just the standard one that came with the kit. I put the first one aside and decided to give the second one a go. I loaded up the cart and put a few drops on the atty, no burnt taste, got about 10 amazing puffs before the whole thing just died :?: no vapor, no heat, no gurgles. Both the batteries were fully charged upon arrival so that isn't the problem, I blew out the atty again just incase I flooded it, still nothing. I want to cry.

... and in the process burned the wick more than likely. I better way to prime your next one is to blow it out, add 5 drops PG and let it sit for 5 min. Add 2 more drops and vape away. If you don't have PG use whatever liquid you have. I drop = 5-6 (2-3sec) drags.

OK, good to know, I thought I had read to do this but I will definately try your way. With my second atty I didn't do a dry burn, just blew and added some juice. After playing around with it a bit more, I guess the second battery is a dud. Both attys work in one battery but nothing with the second, and when I put it on the charger, light is green. I will contact the company and hopefully they will replace it for me, otherwise I think I will try the 900mAh from happy vaper and hope that the joye ego parts are compatible with my knockoff as promised. In the mean time I hope this battery will get me through the day at work and I can suffer with my supermini while it charges.

Those cartos are pretty good, they are a lot better at 4.5v+, but still decent on an ego.

What you want to do is pop off the bottom cap and put in like 4 drops, all around the edge of the carto (into the batting, making sure not to drop down the middle) then wait for it to soak in, and then repeat, once it doesn't look like it's soaking in, it's done, but wait like 5-10 minutes with the carto just sitting there to make sure it's all soaked in, then vape on. Lemme know if you have any issues.

edit: those cartos should hold about 15-20 drops (depending on the dropper used)

OMG, my one working battery just died. AHHHHHHHHHHH. I am starting to think I have the worst luck in the world when it comes to PV's. I got 2 hours of moderate vaping life out of it. When the kit first arrived I put it on the charger to fully charge it before using but the green light came on after just a minute or two. Someone please tell me that after I charge it, I will get the 6-8 hours of life adverstised? If not I think I may just go hang myself now.

Where do you live?

edit: pm me with it if you want, if you're in my area I might be able to help you out.

double edit: make sure the battery connection of the charger and the "ego" is DRY before you plug it in, also if it's not working and it smells like burnt electronics, this probably already happened.

I am south of winnipeg, haven't really seen anyone from anywhere in manitoba on these forums, unfortunately :( Thankyou for the offer though. I am not really expecting anyone to do anything for me, I guess I just need to vent!!

Yea it sucks, I know.

I started with GreenSmoke, their batteries sucked, couldn't keep a charge, couldn't get a proper hit off it. So I emailed them and told them just that, then they sent me another battery that was just as ..... Good use of $200 bucks.

Then I went to HappyVaper, no problems what so ever. Unfortunately most of us have ....ed up and bought something we shouldn't have, so take it as a lesson and go to Jack (happyvaper) and if you have any questions about what to get, or where to get it, post here first.

Good luck :)

Take pictures of this unit and post them. Is it a genuine eGo? If they don't come good, there's always Reviews of Suppliers
