well, this sounds like a great new hobby, since my hobby is to not have the same hobby for too long. And my Mom died from smoking at age 48, and i'm now 45. My question is, are these only available online? i live in Michigan, roughly equal distances from Lansing, Grand rapids, Kalamazoo or Battle creek. anybody know of any place that sells the e-cigarette and accessories?
I don't like the idea of having to buy everything online, i live a quarter mile from a convenience store but i still forget to buy cigarettes, so i can't see myself buying everything i need ahead of time for the e-cigarette. my computer breaks down on a regular basis, i frequently forget to pay my internet bill, and i have never had, and never will have a credit card.

this will take care of ONE of my vices, if anyone knows of e-coffee, e-bourbon or e-greasy hamburgers i would be grateful.

You can find kiosks in local malls, where you will get (sometimes) inferior equipment, where you will (almost always) pay too much (compared to online), and possibly have difficulties getting supplies after the initial purchase. Some online e-cig stores may take Paypal, which could be an option for you.

As for your difficulties planning ahead, not much help for you there regardless. :)

You will have to take some time to investigate, learn, decide what you want. There is a learning curve. This is, yes a hobby. You will need to buy supplies. It will take time to know what you will vape and how long it will last. You will need to understand the atty's, batteries, charging, nic juice strength that is right for you.
Look, I jumped into this, but spent 2 wks reading here first. You will make a choice: continue smoking cigs or give vaping a try. The benefits outweigh the hobby aspect, in my opinion.
This is not smoking, but will give you the nic fix you want without the smell, cost, coughing, etc.
Take your time and read and watch vids, here or youtube.
Welcome and enjoy, but realize that this is different from smoking, and you will be better for it.

well you can get your e-liquid in coffee flavors so that takes care of the nic and the coffee..can probably find juice in burbon flavor too..or cut it yourself with a bit of burbon..not sure about the burgers I do know theres a roast chicken flavor out there so never know..
after ordering the initial kit and maybe some spare parts...juice can last you for quite some time...expecially if you get unflavored high strength juice and cut it down and flavor it yourself...
As for finding a local store..try cigar shops or smoke shops and just research the models they might have...I guess pilot truck stops also often carry the njoy npro model...

Your best bet is to spend some time here on the forum looking at all sorts of info.
It helped me find my first and I love it.
There are many reviews and discussions.
I like having a cart that I can just drop more liquid into as I please, no paper clips blah blah blah. Also having an atomizer that is easily accessable allows for easy dipping and dripping.

As far as credit cards go I can understand, although I feel differently. One option would be to get a pre-paid Visa from Walmart and only charge it up to what you need for purchases. Online is unfortunately the best way to go. Cheaper, variety, and quality. Most suppliers on here can have your package to you in 3 days or so. Like the others said, the local stuff is usually undependable which can result in frustration to the point of going back to cigs.

The biggest downside to buying from kiosks (besides paying way to much) is they usually don't sell liquid, just prefilled cartridges. Some people advertise these being equal to a pack or two of cigarettes each, which is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. Maybe 1-4 cigarettes worth because you can't vape all the liquid out of a cart till it is completely dry. The only way vaping will save you money over cigarettes is if you buy liquid and fill your own carts because then you can top off imo.

And as for the other vices, coffee juices come in a lot of varieties and are delicious, I've seen kung-pao chicken flavored liquid, and yesterday someone had a recipe for maple bacon liquid on here. Sounds creepy to me, but whatever floats your boat.
Good luck
