So, Like everyone else, I found the vapor world trying to ditch the newports. I was a true smoker of the analogs and smoked 1-2 packs a day for 17 years. One day I was walking around my favorite head shop looking for a new dry herb vaporizer. The girl behind the counter was new and had no idea of what she was talking about. She was very beautiful and she laughed at my jokes so hey, I was buying whatever she was selling. Thank God she lead me over to the ecigs. It was the only thing in the entire shop she knew anything about. I ended up settling for a White Rhino ecig. Actually she was real hot so I bought two. Anyway, needless to say I threw the two new boxes in the back of my truck and drove off to the next headshop in search of a perfect vaporizer. At the end of the day I had found it. 2 weeks later (September 15th) my mouth started hurting like i had a broken tooth or something. It was a horrible pain like a cross between a broken tooth and an ear infection. I was assum.ing I had cracked a tooth or broke a fil.ling. I wish that were the case but it wasnt. I went to a dentist. I am from Atlanta and was in Colorado when all this happened. I told the dentist that I think I broke a tooth or filling all the way in the back. After a few xrays and some referrals I now sat in a cancer ward. After I got the horrible news I went outside to do what I always did when I got some bad news. I lite up a cigarette and thought to myself, "... am i doing" I remembered the two ecigs I got from the cute girl. I broke one of them open and dug around till I found the sample of menthol ejuice from Lucid she threw in there. She said it was the closest flavor to new port she could find. So I unscrewed the cheap little tank, poured ejuice straight down the middle tube, screwed it back on clicked the button and sucked. $@#%#$@%@#$%# ...???? No one showed me how to fill it up and without instructions or common sense I poured it into the drip tip not the tank. Due to the fact it was already the worst day ever, I decided to give it another shot. I unscrewed the tank again. After careful inspection i saw a gap that lead down to the tank. I filled it up there. This time I was more cautious with the first pull. I already got a mouthful of menthol ejuice that still had lingering effects in my mouth. So. 1st pull dry. No juice in my mouth. Ok next pull I clicked the button and fired off my first vap. Instantly I thought I was smoking a menthol cig. maybe not a newport but very very close. I instantly liked it. I ended up going back to see the cute girl at the shop, getting some more menthol, her number(very cute), and another vv battery for my new vaping hobby. I smoked on my new found love daily, still carrying around half a pack of cigs I had when I bought the thing. After a week or soo, the "smoke" started to get thin, my menthol taste went to a burnt menthol filter taste. I didnt know what was wrong so I tried charging the battery, draining and refilling my little clearo tank. I gave up. My new toy had let me down after only a week, it was soo thin on the vape and bad on the flavor I ended up reaching into that pocket pulling out those trusty old analogs. I stopped the truck at a scenic lookout for a quick cig break. I fired off a cig and almost died, it smelled like crap and tasted almost as bad( i dont really know what crap taste like so I say almost as bad) I now was ....... My joy of a newport was taken away and then my trusty ecig let me down. I went to a vape shop to see if I needed to by a new "White Rhino" Thank God there are people out there who know how and why you speak slow and kindly to dumb people. The great folks at jvapes.com in Colorado Springs helped educate me on my new "toy". When I walked into JVapes I thought to myself, great, a specialty shop, that sells everything from my "white Rhino" types to a full blown light saber looking thing stolen from starwars. I was worried that I would be made to feel dumb as .... for being there. Everyone else was standing around using huge mods. But, They were awesome, they didnt try to upsell me anything(I was fully prepared to leave if they tried to upsell me to a $100 mod. They didnt, the explained to me what vaping was and how it worked. They also sold me a new Iclear tank and a coil. Told me to try that out and come back if I didnt like it. I got out to my truck filled it up with my menthol ejuice, took one puff and was back in business. I was vapin like a steam locomotive with this thing. I thought to myself why didnt I start vaping years ago?
Fast forward. After about 2 months of non stop menthol vaping my supply ran out. I couldnt find any other menthol that was that good. So a lot of different ejuice flavors and vendors later and I discovered sweet fruit flavors, but i also started to feel my egos feeling weak. I tried new tanks. Evods and they were good, but still not what I was use to getting. I finally broke down and bought a Vamo V5 and a Kanger Protank 2. Got the mods, charger, batteries and tank first. I was about to buy a Provari, but I just couldnt see myself spending $$$$$ on a provari. I dont have anything to compare my Vamo to besides ego type batteries, but I think its amazing. Yes kinda cheap looking, rattles a little bit, but its from china. So what I got what I paid for and was expecting. My biggest concerns were that I climb cell phone towers for a living. I wouldnt mind dropping my $35 vamo as much as a $170 provari. I dropped a few egos off the top and suprising enough I have one that has survived 2 falls from over 100ft. The tanks usually dont survive but if the 510 adapter doesnt snap off then they usually work. Anyway sorry about the rambling, every good question needs a back story.

I love Vaping and still carry egos with me for friends who smoke analogs(I force a fruit flavor on them for a day and usually after that they are 100% digital.)I dont let others smoke analogs in my truck so on long trips they go for the vapes everytime.
I rebuild my coils on my evods and protanks, well my protank is new and im still runnin the original coils, but the evods and protanks have the same heads.
I would like to find a true RBA, I love tanks and dont want to drip. I also dont want something that is prone to leaking or is fragile. I am known as "Destructor" I am known for breaking and fixing things. Anyway, As I look thru fastech I see alot of rebuildables. But which
ones are more of a "fill the tank up and vape on" type? Which ones will work best with my vamo as it does not do subohm? I was looking at the Aqua but dont really wanna spend 4 times more on my rba than my mod? I have spent days looking at different types and models but have only confused myself with all the info I am finding. Also, how long do the coils last in them? I can make a new evod coil and it will last 2-3 weeks easily.
Also, who makes the best Marlboro flavor? I tried a few samples from my local favorite Vaperite store, I tried some from madvapes and some from mt baker. None are even close to what a analog tastes like. I mean they taste good but i am trying to pry the analogs from my father who has smoked nothing but marlboros for 40 something years. Any ideas on which tastes closest to that?
Also, I am vaping a 1.8 ohm head(vamo says 2.0ohms, but my fluke says 1.83 ohms) at 5.5-6.5 watts. I read everywhere people are vaping at 7-8. Im wondering if I am doing something wrong cause at 7 i can already taste burning, and at 7.5 no taste other than burnt flavor. Are my coils too tight or too loose? I have no problem vaping at the 6's. Just wondering if i am doing something wrong, or maybe something very right?? Vamo v5 protank with cotton wick and 30 awg kanthel wire. This goes for any liquids I use no matter who they came from.

But since the Vamo "thinks" it higher, it's setting the voltage necessary for 6.5 watts for the higher resistance. You're likely actually closer to 7.2 watts if the fluke is accurate...
