ran in to some issues with my kit

i was browsing the forums but i have no idea where to ask am new and uh i got lost this is what i have: Riva 510 i first assemble it and it was working fine than i put it to charge read the manual had to charge it 8 hours ok so i took it off it seems to be charged? but when i press the button and inhale no vapor comes out. been reading dunno if i killed the atomizer (atty?) sorry still getting used to the abbreviations what could be my problem?

in addition a couple questions.

1 how many drops how i fill the atomizer correctly?
2 whats the diff between atomizer and cartomizer?
3 any particular links guide for starters? in how to fill it up ect don't want to put more than what i should

ps: if videos has more image than what they talk is fine tho i prefer written guides since amd deaf videos get kinda hard when they speak too much. i get lost.

First, here's a tutorial for beginners Beginners E-Cig Tutorial

Atomizer is the component that heats the e-juice. You either have to drip juice in or have a cartridge or tank to feed it juice. Cartomizer is an atomizer + cartridge that holds the juice in one piece. If you drip directly into atty, no more than 3-4 drops at a time, more & you'll flood it. Take about 4-5 puffs and time to drip again.

I'm new and don't know your model -- I'm sure some veterans will chime in -- but I had a similar problem with my Elite: no vapor but it seemed to be charged. It turned out that the battery wasn't making contact with the other part. Someone told me to hold it up to my ear and click the button and I would hear a click/hiss if it was working, but since you are hearing-impaired, that's not going to help you much. If you can swap out the battery part and the other part and try a different combo, that might help. In other words, I attached a different carto to my battery and it worked, the problem was with the carto. Good luck.

For non-tank systems, the atty has a metel mesh "bridge". You can just drip on that. There must be juice or you get no vapor at all and could pop the atty (dead). If you got your Riva 510 from Liberty Flights, I did have one atty die on my kit and they replaced.

Edit: And if you're referring to cartomizer (atty + cart), you need to put 10 -20) drops in there pending model.

Edit2: since you're just starting out, you probably don't want to "drip" per se, better off to use carts or cartomizers.

I would definitely recommend Boge 2.0 cartomizers. They hold about 1 ml of juice (almost 30 drops) they're much easier and you don't have to mess around with attys and filling the little carts.

Note - an atomizer may have nasty tasting primer liquid on it. * Blow out the atty into a tissue. Drip 3-4 drops of liquid on the atty bridge /\. Wait a minute to let it soaks in. Vape that mostly off without inhaling (if you have an empty cart or drip tip, use that, else use a normal cartridge). Repeat from *. Repeat again but inhaling should be Ok now.

Cartomizers are combined disposable cart + atomizer and very nice for your favorite thinner juices. Some special kinds of cartos may deal with thicker juices better but Boge are the most popular cartos for 510-threaded devices and in them I use juices with 20% VG or less. I usually get a week to 1.5 weeks use out of each. They hold twice as much juice as a cart, need juice less often, work pretty consistently, and keep your favorite flavors totally separate. No atomizer to clean either.

Yes, you have atty + carts. Yes, just add drops into cotton/poly fill thing, a paperclip/wire will help juice settle. I have the Riva 510 Lite kit, almost identical. I would not try LR atty yet, later, just stick with regular 510 attys. Many folks prefer cartomizers, personal taste, more convenient, and you can fit more juice sometimes. Until you try them, make sure there's plenty of juice in cart when you vape.

ok atomizer if the part that screws in the battery? where u put the cart on right? cuz yeah i been noticing a bad taste... i cant tell if its the juice of the atty since am new to these.. i know it taste bad... :/

Cartomizers have a little rubber end cap that you have to remove with a binder clip or paper clip or your fingernail. If you have a drip tip, you just pop it off and drip some juice in. It's just much easier to refill your cartos.
