Random story thread contest ends 8/22/13

She was sitting there, pretty as ever, ordering a...

She was ordering a beer and some french fries with malt vinegar

I asked her if I could have some.

She refused graciously and said could order me a plate of my own as she was coming down with some sort of flu bug.

 

[Amraann]

SO we had a few beers and fries ................

 

[mcol]

And talked a lot.

It was nearing 1:00 a.m. I was all set to leave when she offered for me to sleep on her couch as she knew it would take hours for a cab to come pick me up.

So I agreed.

I awoke at the crack of dawn to the sound of thunder.

 

[mcol]

How far off I sat and wondered.

 

[djezewski]

I had been hoping for a nice clear day so that after we did our research that I could take in some site seeing after our research at the library.

Hoping it would clear up soon, we began our work.

 

[Amraann]

We went to the water board and began sifting through the papers ..

There were so many stacks of papers, we needed figure out a different plan to tackle this

Since the research at the library and then going to the local water commission would take up most of the morning there is still hope for a nice afternoon

 

[Amraann]

We stopped at the local grocer and picked up a picnic lunch!

And continued on, munching and talking.

 

[djezewski]

Sarah asked if I would like to go on a special guided tour at the local historical society where her brother-in-law works.

 

[mcol]

Of course I said sure!

 

[Amraann]

How fun! I recalled that my family owned a house on the national register so we will have even more to talk about..
