Random story thread contest ends 8/22/13

All of these thoughts flashed in my mind as I lay on the floor unconscious from exposure. Suddenly, a white light flashed before my eyes and a burning sensation on my cheek. As I slowly opened my eyes the B&B hostess' bright face came into focus. "Are you ok?" she asked softly. "I was afraid you may be going into shock, I have an ambulance on the way." Good, there was my opportunity for an excuse to my boss. But my mind pulsed, this hostess was beautiful, I was instantly enamored.

Abandoning my vacation and b&b accomodations, as well as teh beautiful hostess, I went back out in search of the duck.

Just as I was walking out the door, Sally, the hostess ran up to me and convinced me to take her along. I happily agreed as she suggested she could corroberate my story to the executive director of the local SPCA . It was a long drive from Branson to my home town of Thayer. Sally and I hopped in the F150 and began the long trek.

We took our time going home, stopping at every pond and lake along the way.

and much to our surprise, we found a whole community of vaping ducks. They were.......

adorable! Some of them had pom poms on their heads and others had silky fur rather than feathers. They were all friendly except..

for the red duck that had glowing pink eyes, he looked at me and said..........

"You have a booger hanging out of your nose," Sally abruptly said as I snapped out of my daydream. I was startled by her honesty and frankness. We were nearly to the SPCA office in Thayer.

Tired, cold and hungry, I looked for something to eat.

I decided that an all you can eat buffet would be good or a japanese place that cooks on the table in front of you..

The more I thought about food, the hungrier I got!

The Japanese place won out!!! They serve a lovely soup and a shrimp appetizer then I ordered .....

the red duck casserole. A bit on the tough side, but then...

it slid down my throat like an oyster.

Then I remembered I HATE OYSTERS!

The room started to spin.

which was actually kinda the fun part, until...

Because I had to many of those fun drinks!!!

And after having one too many drinks I stumbled out the door.

I guess it was the back door, but I never expected what I saw in the rear yard of the restaurant
