Most of Lorann's has pg in it, so even if you mix it with all vg, you are still getting pg. I can't do pg and felt off mixing my own and blame the pg and coloring in Lorann's. Try some Johnson Creek non-pg.
That said, I got hives myself last week. All over my neck and jawline. About 50 million bright red bumps. Not cool for work! I have it narrowed down to either some chemical in my bath water (only that day), or the non-pg juice I just tried from Nuvape; which I heard was PEG, but they wouldn't send me an ingredient list. I'm not trying it again to find out!
What is the herbal you are taking anyway? Does Benadryl clear the rash? Mine was mostly gone the next day, but I took alot and used Benadryl cream too.

Ian't it just the one flavoring you are reacting to? I find it hard to think of how you can react to all flavorings (but not to the flavorings from commercial e-liquid sellers), seeing their base is the same (PG, VG, PEG, water)? Did you manage to perhaps isolate a substance that is in the 'loose' flavorings, but not in the commercial liquid, if indeed you are reacting to all DIY-flavors from all manufacturers? That would be interesting to know, if such a substance would be there.
Glad to hear it is clearing though, and good luck with the last part of it! :)

I don't think it's the actual flavor itself, I think it's got to be the coloring in the flavoring. I used the watermelon e-liquid from............eeep, I don't remember where I got it, anyway it was clearish with no red color and I didn't have any problem whatsoever. That is the reason I bought watermelon flavoring. So, either it's the dye color or something that they add with the color.

I should think if it was a chemical in the bath water you'd have it all over. I know I get hives all over when my water softener runs out of salt (metal allergy and I have major rust content in my well water).

I have used both PG and VG from suppliers with no problem. I do rather like the VG better since I get more vapor from it. I still haven't added the kosher VG I got, just went back to the NOW that I already had, but I don't think that's it. I rather think it's the coloring.

The new herbal I started and have gone back to is SAM-e. It's supposed to help with moods. I didn't get to be on it long enough to see if it does, but if it does, people around here will be much safer if my moods don't swing quite as bad as they have been.

I only took the Benadryl long enough to stop the itch, it's an antihistamine and very bad for the teeth seeing as it dries your saliva. So, I still have a few fading bumps yet. I did use some of the benadryl gel also.

I am reasonably sure it's the coloring in the flavoring. I haven't purchased any flavored e-liquid that is colored. The watermelon e-liquid I got from (still can't remember WHERE I got it) didn't bother me, when I made my own with the candy flavoring is when it started. I haven't had the nerve to try the orange dream as of yet, it does have a different 'dye' in it, so it might be ok

Arggggh. Mine is back. Looks like flourescent red sunburn all around my neck and chest. It burns. I ran out of JC the other day and been vaping scraps, so who knows what did it now.

OUCH! I hope it gets better fast! You probably kept a scrap you should have pitched. I gave away the watermelon flavoring so I wouldn't be tempted.
