Can anyone tell me about "ratios"? pg and vg or something. And about what ratio gives you the best hit. Also, Do the places you buy the e-liquids online tell you the pg vg ratio?
Thanks,
Josh
Some tell you and some don't. I think all vendors should have that info on the page with the juice. Here's a poll of ECF members that will tell you what is popular. It's varied, but you can see how many use various ratios.

PG provides a little more flavor, but less vapor than an all VG juice. PG is generally a little thinner than VG, although that doesn't always have to be the case. I have some VG Dekang liquids that soak into a carto as fast as PG. Water content and the presence of PGA (pure grain alcohol) modify the thickness of the juice.
Throat hit is related more to nicotine content than anything else. Adding PGA to a juice can raise TH, also. PG juices have the highest TH and VG juices are generally very mild ... unless they are high in nic and have a PGA content. Generally a 70PG/30VG juice will work with most anything if you like a mix. the VG content will ad body to the vapor. Use the right voltage for the atty/carto coil and PG will blow clouds of vapor. 3.7v on a 2 ohm coil is good. 4.2v to 4.4v on a 3 ohm coil works fine for me. Some people like to drive their atty and carto coils up to 5v or so. For me, that's too hot and I sense a flavor drop.
Cartos like thin juice. Anything with a fiber filler or wicks will suffer from atty coil starvation if the juice is too thick.
You can use the Contact Us feature on a vendor site to ask about the PG/VG content of their juices. I've always gotten an informative reply when I've done that.
