I used 1/16" Silica sleeve. Fits good in my AGA-S.
I torched the silica to clean all the impurities. Then I rinse with distilled water. Torched it back to glowing again. I use a sewing needle to open the hole in the center.
I make a SS wick unoxidized, by eye. I roll the SS wick very tightly to form a stout wick. I slowly work the wick through the silica.
I insert the wick into the atty. I free hand a coil, because it's a PITA to twist a silica wick through the coil.
