Hey guys. I'm getting my first mech mod tomorrow and I wondered if it is a good idea to get premade coils for my nautilus or subtank. I've moved on and im pretty good at making coils but always use regulated devices. My batteries are fine, my ohm meter is cool and my dmm is on it's way but i just wanna quick puff on the mech just to test. Should I stay away from rbas initially to lower the chance of a short? Thanks

Premade coils can short just like homemade couls. As long as one knows what they are doing, anything that is rebuild able I like better. First thing I do is try the included premade coil. After a few puffs I take it off and make my own coil. I find it better. I have also found that an ugly made coil vapes the same as a picture perfect coil.

I started making coils out of sheer curiosity, I wanted to learn something new. The man uses premade. My coil starts tasting like toast and in 5 minutes I have a new one and I'm happy. He uses his until it's absolutely unvapable because it's pricey to buy new coils. So I'd rather risk my coil that cost me pennies to make.

RBA for the win.
My coils last months, just have to re wick every few days.

One of the reasons I started vaping is to break the financial tether of buying cigs every day/week.

Buying premade coils feels like buying cigs.....more money in a continuing cycle.

I get a better build, better vape, much longer coil life, and I know my coil is made with quality kanthal.
