Hey guys,

To start, I've just started building rda's and am loving it so i decided to build on my rba mini plus that came with my subtank mini to save buying the disposable coils. My first build on the rba seems to have gone well, it came out as a 0.3 and it its producing nice big clouds and nice flavour. However since this is my first time using the rba I have a question that might seem be really stupid but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Is there a risk of me wicking it incorrect and hot liquid being sucked up into my mouth? Its just i read a piece in the paper of someone who sucked up hot liquid into his throat and just want to make sure this cant happen. It may be a stupid question but thought I'd ask anyways.

Just so everyone knows, I have done my research on vaping saftey including ohms law, battery safety etc etc.. But just have no idea if this is even possible as I've never heard of it before this.

Thanks

Yes. It's called spit back. What did you read?

Well he sucked a whole lod of hot liquid into his throat resulting in his throat being burt hoever to me this seems like more of a malfunction of whatever sort of hardware he was using. Possibly some sort of cheap device?

Im aware of spit back and can usually fix the causes of it but im more talking about sucking up a substantial amount of liquid?

Im only aaking as if it is possible, I'd rather be aware so I can make sure what im doing is correct and will make sure this doesn't happen.

I only once heard of some guy having "hot ejuice burn hole in his lungs". Only one unproven story out of millions of vapers. I don't think you have much to worry about as long as you don't act like an idiot.

Vaping burned a hole in my lungs

It does not sounds very plausible to me as they did not mention anything about his mouth or throat which should have been more severely damaged. and getting liquid shot into your lungs does not sound very plausible to me nor does an actual hole being made. Also the website that reported it is not very credible.

This is what snopes had to say about it. Vaping Burned a Hole in My Lungs?

Spit back is usually caused by not having enough wick in the coils.

You can have the same problems on RDAs or RTAs.

The real danger is building too low and stressing your batteries.

If you are cobcerned about spit back get a drip tip that prevents spit back.
