Since I'm placing an order with MFS, I'm toying with the idea of rebuilding my own attys. My kanger sun tank mini came with one, I just need to order the wire and cotton. After some research, I've concluded that Japanese cotton and 26g Katha wire is what I need. My question is...do you feel that rebuilding is better than buying pre-made? Is it a pain in the ....?? Time consuming? Should i purchase extra RBAs so i can make several at one time? I've only ever considered making my own juice but I figure, if I'm gonna DIY, might as well go all the way :) This forum has been really helpful so far, thank you to everyone who gives their advice :)

You should really be asking in the hardware thread. It's more involved then just a short simple answer and some research is required so I would suggest you post your question there. After all this thread is for making juice and not building hardware.

You would be best to purchase several RTA/RBA's so you have one to vape on while stopping unavoidable leeks and re-wicking. I'm running 4 on separate variable watt mods and still spent a good part of yesterday wicking/coiling filling and cleaning up leek's; but most days they don't require as much attention. But i love having my back-ups. 26ga Kanthal is a good choice for small build decks like the Goblin and Orchid. While building your own coils can sometimes be a bit fussy, it's definitely an accomplishment worth striving for.

I will, thanks!! I just watched a vid on rebuilding my sub tank mini...it was pretty neat. He makes it look so easy, just wasn't sure if it really is or not, especially for my newb self :)

Look for the "vertical coil build" for the Subtank Mini deck. It is easy.
