I made a eliquid of 10mg (it is ok, i am mixing stuff for almost 2 years) but sometimes the coil on rba (russian or ithaka) produces a very heavy smoke that makes me go coffing. I am using microcoil with cotton wick with around 1.7 ohm (center diameter 1.5mm, kanthalA1, x0.25, length 57mm). This is not eliquid nic. related as i was using 8mg but the effect was still the same. I am missing something but i dont know what? Can someone help me out, what could be the reason for this?

I don't care for cotton wick, because it needs to be very wet at all times. If it gets dry at all, anywhere near the coil, it can burn. That's likely what you're talking about. You didn't mention how the smoke tasted, burning is pretty nasty and will probably make you cough.

Same with the cotton, I don't care for micro coils for a similar reason... If you're choking your wick at all, it'll dry out. Micro coils aren't spread out in the wick at all, they're vaporizing liquid from a very small area, so they have a higher chance of finding a dry spot.

Ithaka might have a better chance of staying wet, since you can control the liquid flow, but you can't on the Russian other than blindly drawing on it.

So, from what you've described, it sounds like your wick is getting too dry.

Hi Spodletela sounds like your getting dry hits... You can get dry hits without the wick burning. If the wick isn't touching enough of the coil it will dry and dry burn. Hot spots can cause this too. Not wicking fast enough? Use less in the channels if you think its that. But it would also taste burnt... But since you didn't say burnt, Maybe you need to turn down the voltage/wattage or make a higher ohm coil to get a smoother vape kinda sound like too much vapor. Also juice flows can vary in those devices, or maybe sometimes your getting a really saturated vape which is a pretty strong hit.
