7.7 volts on a 0.59 ohm coil is 13 amps.
Even if it was the stated .45 ohms it would be 17 amps.

I don't vape at 100w I just tried different wattage, usuall vape @ 50 to 60wProbably is a Good Thing if it Isn't.
Because having a Single 18650 Mod doing 100 Watts is going to ask the Battery to provide 28 Amps or so.
And Most 18650 Batteries will get a Tad Fussy at that level of Amperage.
No, im still trying different coilsHave you tried using something like a Plain Old 26ga SS 3mm Coil?
Something is Wrong when you have to give a coil 100 Watts and you're still Not Getting a Hit.
Ohms Don't effect the Battery Amp Draw on a Regulated Mod.
So you can have a 0.07 Ohms Build, or a 3.0 Ohm Build. The Battery Doesn't Care. Or even Know.
It's the Watts that Dictate what Amps a Battery has to provide to the Mod's Board.
I don't know.I have no experience with claptons or any other high mass coils but I find it hard to believe 7.7 volts on a 0.59 ohm coil isn't producing much vapor. Makes me wonder if your mod is actually putting out the 7.7 volts it shows on the screen.

Havent tried other coils yet60 Watts is what Many People consider to be about the Top End of a 20A CDR Battery.
But back to your RDA...
With a Single Coil in it, is the Opposite side Air Flow How blocked off as Letitia mentioned?
And have you tried just a Single Wire Build? Not as Fancy Looking. But Lower Mass. And Quicker Ramp-Ups/Ramp-Downs.

Yup. And your calc is using a fully charged battery. With a battery at 3.3V the battery amp draw at 90% board efficiency goes up to 34A. Of course, the mod is going to shut things off fairly quickly, specially if the battery is not up to that kind of amp draw, but it's still pushing things a bit.

Yeah... I actually did the Calculation for 3.9 Volts. But your Mention of the Max Battery Amp Draw is at the Lowest Voltage a Regulated Mod will fire is Right on the Money.
Because it Directly Opposite (Watts Law vs Ohms Law) than for a Mech Mod.
Most Regulated Mods cut out at around 3.5 or so Volts. And 3.5 Volts @ 100 Watts is a 31.75 Battery Amp Draw. And that Exceeds All(?) of the 18650 that I know of.

And my normal 25 Watts is fine for sitting around Shooting the Snit on an e-Cigarette forum.
I vaped at 30-40 watts for quite a while. Right now I've got three squonkers going here. Running one at 10 W (dual coil), one at 8 W (single coil) and a mech at around 15 watts, all using 30 gauge wire. A few years ago I was regularly vaping 30-40 watts and thought wire thinner than 26 gauge was a real pain to work with, LOL. Whatever works![]()
