I want to start building my own coils but i dont want to sub-ohm, do y'all have any suggestions on the type of coil i can build?

For sure. 28g kanthal, 7 wraps around a 2mm drill bit= approx 1.3 ohms

What kind of rda do you have/are you getting? Are you planning to do single or dual coils? What kind of wick do you think you would like to use? What PV will you be using this on?

My standard setup is a single 28g K micro coil, wrapped on a 1/16" drill bit, 10 wraps for 0.9ohm, wicked with cotton.

Prior to this, on a regulated device, I was doing the same coil but using 30g K, for about 1.4ohm

Since you are new to rebuilding have you read up on battery safety, ohms law and amp draw? Have you purchased an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries?

I have a piston by vapage and i was planning to do a dual coil build but i didnt want to get into sub-ohms

I havent read much on ohms law and amp draw but my vamo v6 has a built in ohm reader and it lets me know how much battery i have left

I'm not familiar with the v6, but my old vamo can only go as low as 1.2ohm. If yours is the same, you're going to either need a lot of wire, or thinner wire for dual coils. I would really suggest starting with a single coil, make that as good as you can, then move to dual coils if you feel you need to.

If you really want to do dual coils, you'll need two 2.4ohm coils minimum.
