RDA - How is it different from a typical wick/tank system?

Just got a smok rda and after taking it apart and examining, I was wondering what differentiates the product from any other tank/wick system? Just the fact that you drip directly?
Haven't tried it yet, hoping that the flavor is better and clearer than some of the other wick systems I have used (I'm looking at you Vivi Nova!)

i think youll like the RDA compared to the nova. i sure do.

the main difference youll find with RDA/RBA drippers and RBA tank systems is the tank. drippers hold the liquid reserve in the wicks, tanks hold the liquid reserve in the tank.
