It takes some getting used to with the heat of the coils compared to a 1+ ohm coil. I recommend starting around 1 ohm and letting yourself adjust to the experience, and then slowly step down the ohms. I just went from a .342 ohm build down to a .202 ohm build and it got hot! The build was the same (dual coil, but I dropped the inner diameter a little) and the warmth of the vapor took some time getting used to. Everytime I throw in a fresh battery or dry burn the coils I have to take shorter hits to adjust to the heat. I am getting better, and can really hit it now.

TL-DR: start higher and let your body adjust to this new type of vaping before you jump in head first! Cheers!

Please don't hate on my build. I know its prob. Not correct in any manor.

I agree, too much cotton, but no hate from me, I used to over cotton myself! Try cutting back on the cotton, and slightly less on the diameter of it. I have seen people on here with barely enough to fill the coil and reach the deck and they love it!

Just a note: that "35 amp" efest is actually a re-wrapped LG battery with a 20 amp continuous amperage rating, so I would not recommend going below .21 ohm build. I personally leave some buffer room so I stay in the safe range, just to be sure I vape safely.

That being said, here are some of my recent builds and wickings, so you can get an idea of what has worked for me. DISCLAIMER: I am by no means an expert on building or wicking, I just want you to see what has worked for me along the way. I have been dripping a couple months now, and have been progressing pretty fast in how good my builds are.

Current build, least amount of wicking I have done thus far. This is the .202 build that is a warm vape! Note the space I leave under the wicks to allow air to come straight from the air holes to the coil.

This was when I was still wicking a little too much, but it functioned fine with the deep well on my RDA and my .3 and change ohm build. This also has the space for the coil to breath.

Your coils ohms are quite low. It will make your vape hot which in could make it seem very harsh.

There are several ways to cool it down to make it not so harsh. I vape true sub ohms around .08 - .06 and it would be very unpleasant if it was not setup properly.

I have my holes drilled out to 1/8th and then I have also added extras holes. To be exact another 6 holes. Two on each side in a 45 degree angle and two holes on top of the rda by the drip tip.

Airflow is your friend when trying to cool down a vape and make it not so harsh.

Also the way you thread your cotton has a huge deal with it as well. I thread a long price of cotton through one coil then take it over the middle connector and stick it in the other coil so I am only using one piece of cotton.

Too much cotton.....still Id open up all the airflow if its still too hot drill out. I use to stay away from dripping. I had my nemi with kayfun and that was my go to. I visited a shop said hey why not Im gonna try a dripper see how it is. I bought a cheaper Spirit dripper (didnt want to spend a lot knowing if I would like it or not) and had the builder at the shop make me a build. I told them never dripped before. So they built it I tried it later at home and I thought it was horrible. I measured the ohm on the atty it was .2 so I built another build tried a single coil to start higher ohm and it was way better for me. From there it was kind of a progression lower and lower. Coil building and wicking youre going to go through trial and error. My all day vape now is a ipv v2 and either Tobh v2.5 or Plume Veil with ard 1-1.2 ohm builds. Still use my nemi and 26650 for real low builds but you can get an awesome vape with regulated box mod and higher ohm coils. You should find a good shop you can go to with a good builder and from my exp most places are open to guide you in the right direction and give you tips for building. Even watching them will help you get better at it. I started building my own coils maybe 3 months ago and I can build anything at this point but like I said was trial and error. Just be safe when you do it and make sure youre running the right equip for the builds.

I think it's your air holes, my current set up is .43 in my Odin and I have the coils as close as I can get them to the air holes with out shorting. You need two large air holes with the coils directly in line. You may want to consider a different atty, like the Magma, Odin, Tugboat, or Tobh.

Low Ohms does NOT = Hot Vape.
It is the total build that will make or break performance.

My Omega:
Dual micro's at .48ohm
Dual 3mm Air holes
With a moderately good pull, the vape is actually a little cool, even of a Fresh 4.2v

Coils are set 3mm back from and aligned with the air openings for Best air flow.

Op, how big are the air holes?
Are you lining them properly with the coil?

Only Harsh RDA I ever had were my IGO-L's - Opened the air holes and they work fine now.
