Update again- so I installed a new coil, burned it out loads and didn't use as much cotton, it has a little spitback but I've been using it for a few hours and so far so good haha. Thanks all for you're help and advice and not making me feel like an idiot haha

Hmmm.... Might be to little then. Have you been thinning out the tails? The wick should be snug, but not tight, in the coil. Different materials work differently, of course, but always enough wick that no pockets between the wick and coil.

We all started somewhere @Rachel271, but we learned things over time by making mistakes and asking questions.

But as your using a single coil, you could try an rda designed for single coil. An Entheon clone may be a good option, and they can be picked up cheap.
