My NAMI first impressions:
First and foremost:
The customer service:
I got my NAMI last Monday and was pretty upset when I found it didn't have the negative screws. I emailed James and in about two hours I had a response saying he will ship out the screws the next day. When I got my screws 2 days later, the entire BCV juice line was also in the package!! On my first build (that I did extremely quickly since I had company over), I didn't check my coil height and melted the peek drip tip insulator. So I emailed James again asking if I could purchase a new insulator or top cap. He responded even quicker this time saying that he has done the same thing on his and it will not cause any issues. With that said, he still shipped me replacement insulator for free even after I offered to pay for a mistake I made. This is as good as customer service can get!! Thanks James!!!!
Everything Else:
Building this thing is ridiculously easy; wrap your coils with the leads going in opposite directions, slip the leads under the screws and tighten. It's literally that easy. It takes less than 20 minutes to get a good build in here.
The machining here is excellent; not a scratch, burr or any kind of defect to be found. The materials also feel like their high quality; nobody will be mistaking this for some chinese authentic.
The customization options on this thing can be overwhelming with the different top caps you get and the plugs for the upper accumulation chamber. I am finding that even small changes like plugging one hole in the accumulation chamber will create a very noticeable difference. This is awesome because I feel it allows just about anyone (except for them cloud bruhs) to find the vape they want with some experimentation. I started out with the standard top cap without the accumulation chamber. For the way I build, this configuration is a little too warm for me; like the drip tip gets really hot really quickly and vapor is just HOT; some may like that and others may not. So I started messing around with the upper accumulation chamber. Plugging the one central air channel causes the vape to get pretty cool; not muted, just not very warm at all. Plugging the two outer air channels and leaving the central one opens creates a warmer vape; not as warm as the standard top cap but still on warm side. Plugging the outer air channels and using the smaller top cap on top creates a vape that I absolutely love.
There is also plenty of air flow as well; 4 x 2.5 (2.4??) mm air holes. I personally like using just the bottom airflow holes but using all four open creates an airier draw but still keeps the flavor. I have also been messing around with using just the top air flow holes but I feel like in order to get the vape I want out of that configuration, I have to build my coils accordingly.
The flavor is really fantastic! I would say so far (haven't compared to anything side-by-side yet), it is on par with my veritas, snapdragon and origen v3. In general, the vape is very dense and warm and full of flavor. Opening more air holes only really adjusts the heat and draw, the flavor doesn't change a whole lot (tighter draws create more intense flavor and looser draws create more of clear, crisp flavor).
There are still a ton of builds that I'd like to put on here but haven't had the time to do so yet.
TL;DR: The NAMI is an incredibly versatile atty that produces great flavor with large variety of different configurations. The upper accumulation chamber really seems to do what it was designed to do. I feel that any flavor chaser will be able to find a configuration that will give them an 'excellent' vape experience; whether you want more air flow, more heat, more flavor intensity or all of the above!
