Day #2, build #2 on the Hobo v3.1: dual coil, ~3.2 mm ID with a 4/5 wrap of 24 gauge kanthal coming in @ 0.25Ω. Would I be booted out of my own thread for saying I think this is, for me, a better vape than the NarDA? Dang this is good!

p.s. I thought this atty would be akin to the Stumpy, and in some respects it is, but the vape is just better. Easily, better!

No, everyone has different preferences. I don't think the flavor of the Hobo is even close to the NarDA but that's just my opinion. However, I'm still really enjoying the Hobo and will probably buy another.

Oh, also, anyone know of any regulated devices that will fire below 0.1ohm in power/wattage mode other than the SnowWolf or DNA200? I tend to use Nichrome80 as the base for all my coils, so TC is not much of a concern.
I know the sigelei 150w with temp control I have (the ugly one) fires down pretty low cause I actually have the same problem you do. Before I fire and pinch the coils and get them nice and tight the ohms are pretty low, till they raise up to where they should be. I forget it's specs but I just wanted to say your not alone on that one! Lol

I personally love the hobo 3.1, if no one knew that before, but I still think there both excellent excellent rda's that are extremely respectful in there own rights. For me I like the NarDA for a nice single flavor coil, and the hobo for just a simple dual build. Like previously said everyone has there own preferences but imo I'd be hard pressed to find better at this point.

True to both of what you all said, but at the end of the night, for me, it comes down to airflow. If the NarDA could open up a tad bit more, I'd like give it the undisputed nod.
You never know, Nareg has hinted in a post or two that more top caps are coming. Maybe one will have bigger airflow.

It seems to me the NarDa would be one of the easier RDA's to put on a drill press and bore out the air supply... It could even be done free hand if someone had a steady enough hand. Any good machine shops in your area?

It could work, but this atty is too valuable to risk it. I'd sooner just wait it out, figure out the optimal build for me or trade it...for two Hobos. LoL

Found out today the Sigelei Fuchai 200TC fires down to 0.05. So, between that, the SnowWolf, and the DNA200, I have some saving up to do til I figure out which one I want hehe.

Yeah that fuchai looks nice, much better then the 150w I can't stand that one lol I only use it for building on and firing since it goes the lowest out of all the mods I have, other then that it wasn't great day 1. I'd definitely rather have the fuchai any day!

My initial take on new Hobo 3.0? Awesome! Flavor not quite at Stumpy or Nectar level, but close -- and very nice. Love the draw; lots of flavor and plenty of vapor even with air flow opened. Quite easy to build. This is single coil, 3.5mm, Ni200 at 0.19ohms and 12w with TC. Thanks for recommendations. Snapdragon in the mail.
